  1. Huh.

Wait, am I confusing TB with Lanvin? Lanvin stuff is made by Corneliani, right? I could've sworn about the TB jacket, but apparently, memory serves me wrong.

Lanvin is made by MA.CO (aka Raffaele Caruso Sartoria Parma). MA.CO also makes suits for Ralph Lauren Black Label and Brooks Brothers 1918 line. Corneliani makes suits for the Ralph Lauren Polo line. Martin Greenfield also makes suits for Freemans Sporting. Tom Ford uses Zegna for suits.

When people know something is made by hand, they quite often incorrectly assume that it is superior. Sometimes a machine can be used to produce a better result.

  2. I think that you are talking about Martin Greenfield, one of the oldest quality manufacturers in the US. He actually makes the Black Fleece Line, which is not surprising seeing as the Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece MTM program is also through him. I believe that Thom Browne.'s mainline suits and sportsjackets are made by Zegna in Italy, however. The TB stuff that I have seen all indicates Italian origin.

You sure you're not thinking of Tom Ford?

  3. Actually, Bluefly will not guarantee the authenticity of any of their products. I think it's safe to say that most, if not all, of their products are authentic. However, they can't really police people who buy items from bluefly and then return fake versions for a refund.

  4. That's why I like trader. It's load of bullshit and egomaniacs but its good bullshit.

I never realized how sweet Lumbergh's glasses are...

  6. i think its just the way the japanese eat. Mostly are high in proten with complex carbs, with a little of everything. unlike the americans, where junk food like mcdonalds, in n out burgers are sadly the national food.

WTF? Have you ever been to Japan? Japanese food has hardly any complex carbs (white rice is not a complex carb) and there is very little protein in the diet when compared to an "American" diet. Also, the "little bit of everything" concept doesn't really enter into most young urban men's lives. In short, you're crazy if you think that there isn't plenty of unhealthy food in a Japanese guy's diet.

The only thing you might be right about is the way Japanese eat but don't confuse it with what they eat. I ate a substantial amount of unhealthy food when I lived in Japan...I just ate far less.

  7. Just get a pair of Italian market dress trousers made by Borrelli, Eredi Pisano, et al. They are all slim, tapered and the rise is high enough. When you're looking at Italian brands, make sure you're buying European market products, not the U.S. version (which is a different cut). What size you looking for? I've got some in size 30 (EUR 46) that I'm looking to unload (legs a little too slim for me).

  8. Arent the 5000VX's on the slim side? I was looking at these for my next pair but from all the fit pics they looked pretty tight.

That's because everyone on this website buys jeans to be tight. If you buy your regular waist, they are more of a regular fit (wouldn't go so far as to call them loose though).

  9. the prize should be a denim tie... 7 fold and all that shit.

im sure someone here could fashion one.

Good call Cheep. Don't forget to let the selvage show on the underside. Gotta be 9 oz. for sure. Sick tie knot fades and shit.

I think we should throw in a tie bar made out of melted rivets too. Or maybe some cuff links made of fly buttons.
