  1. Doesn't sound like much, but the day after I had hernia surgery, I coughed (smoker's hack) really hard. It hurt so bad I couldn't see, everything was just white. After about ten minutes I was able to make my way across the floor to my bottle of Vicodin, took 3 and passed the fuck out. On the positive side, it made me quit smoking, been 8 years now with no relapses.

  2. I don't play much anymore, but here's my gear:

    Amps:

1974 Marshall Super Lead (for sale, PM me for the GBase listing)

    Sovtek Mig 100G

    Ampeg Super Jet

    Fender 4x12 cabinet

    Guitars:

1985 Kramer Focus 3000 (my first real guitar, bought it new)

Strat-style custom built by ESP in New York

    90's American Standard Telecaster w/Duncan PU's

    and my baby

1972 Stratocaster that some previous owner butchered in the 80's. It plays super nice, but it's been thru hell and needs a re-fret badly. strat.jpg

I've also got a giant box of effect pedals that I've been selling off, I stopped using all but one (a Frantone Peachfuzz) years ago.

  3. ^DIGITAL, the hoody looks good! Nice meeting you today.

Thanks for the people who repped yesterday.

    Ben

It's interesting to see how Ben's priorities have changed over the years. 2 years ago that display case in the back was full of hyped SB's and shit. Now what's in there, black T's and denim?

  4. If Zoo York could seel to Ecko there's no reason Supreme couldn't too. ZY used to be the essence of NY skate culture the way Supreme is now. Who do you would step in to take Supreme's place as the NY skate brand of the underground?

  5. IS is good because it allows you to take pics without flash in lower light. You probably wont see much of a difference in full daylight, but indoors it can really help your pics look better.

The Ricoh is a nice camera, but it's way too expensive for what it does. It is almost unusable in RAW mode, because it takes forever to write files so you miss shots waiting for the camera to do it's thing.

  6. They had a couple more pairs of Nam-Jun's in Black/Olive and Sand, some Ancestors, I think Fangs, and maybe 1 or 2 other styles. Not sure about sizes, prices were all about 1/3 off the regular price (my boots were $202+ tax, reg price is $290)

  7. Union NY has some of the (I assume) F/W shoes on sale right now. I went by and picked up a pair of the Nam-Jun's for a little over $200, I'm psyched. Anyone know how these things will handle the rain/snow? I don't want to baby them too much, but should I treat them with something before I get them wet or does it not make a difference?

  8. caliroots has been growing too fast, that's why this is happening. they are very popular.

That's a BS excuse right there. I've ordered from dozens of sites, from the big ones like Bluefly to small ones like Cartel Goods, and none of them have been as unresponsive as Caliroots. Their email is permanently full, and the 2 hours per day of phone customer service is a fucking joke. They sure are happy to take your money in hurry though.

Seriously if you are a company courting an international clientele and working with some of the biggest names in "streetwear" or whatever, this is totally unprofessional, and they are never getting my business again at this rate. This is some "Never forgive shit", word to Min One.

  9. CAliroots email address is useless, nothing i've sent them has ever gone thru. And they only answer the customer service line between 9 and 11:30 am their time. Awful service from those guys, really. If anyone from Caliroots reads this board, please PM me so I can get some help.
