  1. - When you're taking a piss and you want to spit into the urinal but you misjudge the velocity of your spit and it ends up on your cock

Just admit it, that was no acccident

  2. Learn to love yourself, really, before you try to love anyone else.

Learn to be comfortable in your own skin. Work on your flaws, but learn to accept that some things are how they should be and be proud of the things that make you unique.

    ANYTHING is worth trying once.

Don't waste energy on negative thoughts or people. Negativity is for losers who too much time feeling sorry for themselves instead of getting shit done. As I've gotten older and my life has gotten busier and my responsibilities greater, I have less and less time to waste on negative thoughts. 9 times out of 10 a positive attitude will help get you the results you are after in the first place.

There is pretty much no good reason to get money out of an ATM after 2AM, it's always going to be spent on something you probably are better off without.

    More megapixels aren't necessarily better.

You can never have too much booze or ice.

  3. I have the ACME 7" and LP. The LP just has a couple of extra songs that came out on comps and some live stuff, so you aren't missing much there. There were a bunch of bands from Europe around that time with similar sounds that were all amazing: Wounded Knee (from Luxembourg), Luzifers Mob, Mine (both from Germany I think), you could throw Voorhees from the UK in there also, but they were more of a grindcore/powerviolence thing than the others. All those bands were great and super under-appreciated. If you dig ACME and stuff like Rorschach and Citizen's Arrest you need to start digging for these records.

  4. Shits crazy right there.

My friends all used to be in a band Thulsa Doom (I know you gotta know about them from ABC days) who developed a cult following of little kids from westchester/LI/CT. Last year they set up a myspace, and it was immediatley swamped by happy fans, one of whom revealed that she had got the lyrics to a song my boy wrote called "we are both human" as a backpiece!

Needless to say we had a good laugh about that one. If you know the song, and its misguided but heartfelt lyrics about "equality", it makes it all the more amusing.

Don't know the song, but I remember Thulsa Doom well, we played/hung out with them a few times.

There were a lot of great bands out of ABC that didn't get enough shine: Distraught, Molotov Cocktail, The Krays, Awkward Thought, or going even further back Merel, 1.6 Band, Citizen's Arrest, Puzzlehead, Inflatable Children... and I'd include my band in there too. Most NYC bands don't tour enough to break out of the area, but a lot of those bands could and did blow the "big name" bands off the stage at shows on the regular.

  5. ^^^

didnt you say you were in asstroland?...i had a 7" by you guys, i forget what it was called but it was on clear vinyl and had a drawing with a guy with a mohawk on the cover...im pissed i traded that shit now..you guys were also on that slap a ham comp, huh?

Yep that was us, the record was called "Sweep The Leg". A guy in St. Louis actually got that cover tattooed on his forearm for some reason. Freaked us the fuck out when we saw that... I think I still have few copies somewhere if you're interested.

  6. and there was one THICK as fuck photocopied zine from NYC back in the day. One of my favorite zines was the basketball issue they had.

That was CHANGE, one of my faovrites from back then to. My band was on the Simpsons compilation they put out.

And Slug & Lettuce was put out by Chris Boarts, she was always totally cool. She's married to one of the Avail guys now. Still puts out the zine but very infrequently cuz she's a mom and all that stuff now.

  7. I gotta co-sine on the Citizen Nighthawk, it's a great watch for a really fair price and you never need to wind it or change batteries because it's an Eco-Drive movement that gets charged by daylight. Just make sure to get one of the Asian or Euro versions that has the cool engraved caseback. The US version is laser etched and pales in comparison.

  8. I'm in a private group on another board (that a lot of SF members and anonymous browsers are on also so I wont say which one), and while it is good for those of us in the group to discuss stuff among ourselves without interference, most of us have pretty much stopped or cut way back on posting in the public areas. Which has lead to much of the board turning into an idiot snakepit. Based on that experience, and as someone who probably wouldn't get an invite from the cool kids here (even though I was here before almost all of you!) I think the effect on the rest of the gen pop here at SF would be pretty negative as well.

  9. it's not just an asian thing. racism and prejudice spans across all peoples.

True (and for sake of full disclosure, I am multi-racial in background), but it seems like a much bigger deal and more universal among Asians than others. Judging from the responses on this board it doesn't seem like any of the Asians here could bring home a black girl/guy (for example) without hell breaking loose.

  10. So here's my question: Assuming you do submit to mommy and daddy's pressure and only marry within your race and nationality, will you perpetuate the same racist BS or will you accept your kid screwing/dating/marrying whoever they choose to?

  11. red moon is an extension of dry denim: it ages beautifully. dont be a superloser and confuse the superficial looks of the item with what the item is designed to do.

But if it doesn't look good, who cares what it is designed to do? I mean, "looks good" is totally subjective so this is a moot point, but I don't care if a Red Moon wallet is designed well enough to hold a 20 pound turkey and ages like fine bourbon, they are just ugly to me. Sam thing with a lot of vintage repro denim, it doesn't matter how well and authentic the things are made if they don't look good on your body.

  12. are money clips really reliable? and what about credit card holders? are those any good for storing cash? i'm thinking of using one of those instead since i wear skinny jeans and my wallet gets too fatty to fit.

Personally I hate having anything bulky in my pockets, so I've used a clip and a card case for about 10 years now. A word of advice on clips, go with one with a hinge rather than the kind that just holds your bills by tension, those wear out after a while and will drive you nuts.
