will the IH N-1 be online anytime soon? a good one's been on my bucket list for a while, some details would be handy
Might I suggest the Stevenson Overall Co. N-1? Fabric and construction are second to none, it's my favorite outerwear piece to hit the shop this season (and we have a lot of good stuff in).

Does anyone know what the indigo bleed is like on the shadow selvedge?
Ghoul is correct - the shadow bleeds more than our standard indigo; I'd suggest avoiding light colored footwear and not tucking anything into your jeans (if you do usually) for the first 3-4 weeks of wear. Once you've broken them in, you won't need to worry about them bleeding anymore.

Trav, the fit looks perfect on you. Thanks for posting the photos up and enjoy the jeans!

I knew it!
Same thing happened to some other brands as well. Interesting article about that here
Self Edge was smack dab in the middle of this; almost all the brands we stocked were subject to this lawsuit. Here's some required reading for you - the RawrDenim.com only begins to scratch the surface of what went down:

I think washing them that soon was a bad move. I would've tried a spot clean. Now a lot of the starch is out and re-starching them with a spray-on starch won't be very effective, because it'll wear-out quickly.
He'll be fine - there's so much color on the jeans, if worn hard they will produce beautiful contrasty fades without any problems. Washing jeans early on, contrary to popular belief, does not affect a jean's ability to age over time.

Not at all. We wanted our tees to be well-fitting basics that had two specific features:
-A collar that doesn't stretch out and get floppy throughout the day
-A vintage-style jersey fabric that is heavier than your average tshirt weight
It may be hard to tell without picking the tshirt up and trying it on in person, but our shirts definitely have a heftier feel to them than your average tee, and at $85 for two, come in much cheaper than any loopwheeled tshirt on the market (to be clear, ours are not loopwheeled). $42 for a solid layering tee that can also be worn on its own seems pretty reasonable to us.

Hi,
I'd really appreciate some help with 3sixteen+ 12BSP Left Hand Twill Jean I'm about to place order for. First my apologies if I seem somewhat ignorant and starting right away with question on this forum.
I of course first contacted Self Edge about sizing and was advised to size up 2" with this model. However on the item description it's been said to size up 1" and that shrinkage would be 1" after wash/soak. Also the sizing diagram shows these to be true to size: 31" = 31.00 waist.
So any experience or suggestions out there if I should go for 32" or 33" when aiming to 31" waist after soak? I'm not looking for skin tight fit, more like slim/regular.
Many thanks!
Trust Self Edge on this one, the jeans run extremely small and if you're looking to have them fit not too tight, go with the 33's. If they feel quite big when you get them, give them a hot soak. If you don't want them to shrink too much, give them a cold soak and make sure that all future washes are done with cold water as well.

I would agree - the only exception is our Shadow denim which bleeds like crazy during the first month of wear. Our indigo jeans don't bleed very much in comparison to some other jeans we carry at Self Edge, I find.

Edge of material, so 11.7". I dont think I've ever encountered a thigh measurement technique of seam to seam before with jeans. Inseam is 37".

AJ, any chance I could see some measurements for the CS-100z? They sound like the perfect jean for a guy like me who grew up grunge and hip hop--and at a price I can comfortably justify. Let me know, and hope all is well with your family and friends.
Here are measurements for a size 31 and a size 32. I personally sized down one on these since the rise is higher and it sits above my waist. I'm a 34 in the SL cut and a 33 in the CS.
Size 31
Waist: 32"
Thigh: 12"
Knee (13" down from crotch): 9.5"
Leg opening: 8.5"
Size 32
Waist: 33"
Thigh: 12.25"
Knee: 10"
Leg Opening: 8.75"

hey guys,
wonder if Kiya or anyone on here can help me out.
I'm searching for a replacement for my RJB 66BSPBK (s 30). bought them over 3 years ago.. BEST denim i've EVER worn. Ive had them repaired once by the team at Self Edge.. but they're slowly dying and its time for a new pair.
Anyone know anything of a similar cut? Preferably something black or any color but blue denim.
These jeans are an amazing cut for me as im skinny and super tall.
any help would be much appreciated.
I'm making a trip to SF at the end of the month. cant wait to visit SESF again!
If you've got your heart set on another pair of blacks again, take a look at these two:

nice one... did not realize that Mark was the man / myth / legend Markmont. SENY fam all safe and sound I hope?
We're ok - are you? Parts of NJ got hit harder than NY. We're closed indefinitely for now - but thankfully we didn't suffer any flood damage.

X-post from the Self Edge thread... here's some video coverage of our Iron Heart pop-up shop opening party, including a very rare video appearance by the Iron Heart Boss himself, Haraki-san:

For those who were not able to make it to the party two Saturdays ago to meet Haraki-san and team, here's the next best thing - Haraki-san on video!

A big thank you to The Crosby Press for coming out to film the party. We've got a few more videos coming out with them in the coming weeks that will be pretty entertaining as well.

Heads up folks, due to the impending hurricane and the resulting shutdown of public transit, SENY will be closed tomorrow, 10/29, and may be slightly delayed in opening up on 10/30 depending on how the hurricane progresses. If you'd like to stop by on Tuesday, please be sure to call ahead to make sure we're there. To all our east coast customers, stay safe.

Have these arrived? Hope to roll through the shop on 10/23 and try on a pair in 34.
Yup, they're here. Come by!

Looking forward to the pop-up shop but my Iron Heart x SE INDO16's aren't faded enough yet! Damn
It's cool, we'll still let you in.

ajchen, debating the double black slim tapered, but my only concern is the back pocket size. I loved the cut on my previous 3sixteens (circa 2010) but hated the big back pockets.
Could you give me measurements? How do they compare to APC or Dior? Thanks.
Let me know a size you'd like me to measure and I'll get that to you this week.
Any chance we will see the CL cut at SENYC by 10/22? Headed into the city and I was hoping to try/buy the new fit.
Love my SL-100x and SL-220x.
SENY will be getting a full size run of the CS-100x this week, and if we run out of any sizes we'll be able to restock pretty quickly.
Also when are they (CL) going to hit online?
SESF won't be offering the CS-100x at this time, so we're hoping to have them up and on on our own site in a few weeks' time once we get them shot.

Just curious - why no chainstitching on the barney collabs?
The denim was too crunchy for our manufacturer's machine at the time, so we weren't able to put a chainstitch hem on them.

The furniture nerd in me needs to ask - info on chair?
