  1. i agree with bobby on this one...i believe they were bought out by Mossimo or something to that effect...but i may be wrong...i use to really feel Modern Amusement...t-shirts weren't really that great in quality, but the rest of the line was nice...once they sold the company, quality of apparel really went down...everythign started looking and feeling cheap...designs were absolutely horrible...the only decent thing they did was the collab with medium footwear, but that might have been before the takeover...

  2. this might be the wrong approach, but i find that if you're not afraid of heavy fading...wash in hot water, then dry in high heat...this basically kills the denim...i used this method on my rogans, and i was quite pleased with the results..:)....i think it reduces the lifespan by almost half though....

  3. i was skeptical a minute back when i was first exposed to Undercover pieces...but after visiting japan and seeing a broader line than what most north american cities are use to, i have to say that i was very impressed...many of the coats and sweaters we don't get to see very often are basic in design and subtle in detail...the cut is excellent and the fabrics are top notch...it often seems that those who hate, don't really know...

  4. hottest places in toronto for shopping are as follows:

    Nomad (the illest)

Goodfoot (if you don't know...get a late pass)

    Vice (consistent if nothing else)

UncleOtis (OG...originally opened by the keyboardist from The Cure...)

TNT Blu (Steven is going to turn this place around...heads ain't ready...DO NOT SLEEP...the coming seasons are going to be ill...)

    Lileo (IJF holdin it down)

Studio Deluxe (Ivan doing big things with Loid)

Delphic (also OG...the Delphic fam keeps getting stronger)

Capsule (repping the North end of Toronto)

i-cii (yorkville's finest...commes des garcons, junya watanbe, undercover...a must for serious shoppers)

magic pony (toys, toys, and more toys...also one of the finest places in the city for books and magazines)

all i can think of for now...

  5. TNT Blu here in Toronto has started carrying the line...i'm not that impressed actually..it's def a more traditional style of denim....whereas rogan uses the "slashed" pocket (suit style pocket), Loomstate uses traditional pockets...most of the cuts and styles are straightforward...attention to detail is still there, and even though the pricepoints are a tad lower, i'd personally spend a bit more and go for Rogans...the big seller here is that they're organic...in my opinion, there are far better choices our there at the moment....

  6. Spruce/Wings & Horns do have higher price points than one would initially imagine, but the quality is def there...that being said...$500 for a hoodie seems really high...but seeing that it's london, it's all relative, so $500 is prob what one should expect to pay out there...toronto cats, Nomad has priced Spruce/Wings & Horns very well...i suggest picking up what you can when you're there...

  7. all these companies straight bite off each other and other surrounding companies...it's nothing new, seems to me that Stussy's throwing a bit of a tantrum...

i've always been a huge fan of Stussy...but the last couple years have been pretty dissapointing...only recently have they been able to turn their collections around...seems to me that this is one last desperate attempt to retain some credibility...

if Stussy goes through with this lawsuit, i personally am done with their goods...hypocrites...

  8. need help!!

i'm looking to visit New York with my girl during the middle of June...over the weekend or so...can anyone help me out with suggesting cheap places to stay in New York?

i'm talking cheap!! (is less than $100 a night even possible??)...i'm willing to commute in from Manhattan's surrounding areas such as Brooklyn, etc (thanks d)

    anyhow...any suggestions would be welcome...

    thanks in advance...

  9. it seems to me that most of those that complain about Supreme have the wrong frame of reference when comparing it's service...this isn't the Gap or Bannana Republic...most of these cats don't care whether or not you buy their goods, cause if you don't, the next man will...either suck it up, or don't buy anything...there's no point in sweating their service...

d is right...welcome to downtown NYC...

  10. no dissrespect to your friend...but i don't think it's "the wood" Nomad's worrying about...i think they're just trying to encourage cats in respecting the store and space in which they're visiting...

they probably shouldn't have spoken to you and yours that way, but hey, show respect to get respect.
