  1. corpus denim is ill...

    daggers is crazy..

i almost don't want to encourage cats to look into the Sandinista gear...joints look so hot, i want to cop everything myself...but toronto cats, do yourself a favour DO NOT SLEEP ON SANDINISTA...

  2. i agree with bobby on this one...there's most def alot of negativity on this board...there's always going to be people that disagree, but some of this stuff is getting out of hand...this board use to be informative and place where heads could discuss similar interests without getting hated on...we need to bring it back, but it has to be a group effort...

  3. i think it depends...if you support what they do, then buy their products and rep their gear...personally, gdft has been good to me...they've shown me nothing but love since their grand opening...i appreciate what they've done for the city in terms of the shoe game...i'm gonna support them if i can...and if that means wearing a shirt or two, then it's all love...

  4. ringring...got a question for you...

i recently purchased a pair of black rogans...now, they're not the denim, they're in fact a stiff canvas...i believe they're from the fall/winter 2004 collection...anyhow, they're faded and broken in a bit...but i'm looking to really soften them up...i know most people hit you up with "denim" questions but was hoping you might be able to sort me out with this particular fabric (they're very similar to the material Carhartt uses in their outerwear - vests, jackets etc...)

i tried doing a first wash in warm/hot water and drying in high heat...this did soften them up a bit, but not nearly close to what i'm looking for...

i know the simple answer is "just wear the pants"...but i'm looking for an accelerated method in softening the fabric...any tips?

    thanks in advance...

  5. a friend of mine had a chance to see some of their denim pieces not too long ago...from what he could gather, the denim quality is very good, and the attention to detail is exceptional...however, nothing groundbreaking, and hence, probably not worth the $$$...but time will tell how hype dictates prps's success...

  6. what up benz...

Almost certain the two are in no way affiliated with each other...

As for Nomad's stock?....currently they have Y3, Bittersweet, Crooks&Castles and Rinse&Repeat...pretty sure that's all i saw over the weekend...

they'll be breaking out DaggersDrawn and Brknhome tees shortly i believe...

Of course, they also stock GDFT tees...

They actually don't carry aNYthing...Vice does, but not Nomad...I think the aNYthing shirt mentioned in this thread was referring to the Bittersweet x aNYthing collab tee...not bad...nothing to special though...

  7. the markup on headporter isn't that ridiculous at Nomad...let's face it, boutiques have to find a way to pay the bills...this isn't your neighborhood convienence store...and let's face it, it's still cheaper than making a run to Stussy/Porter in NewYork...it's funny...for years, i heard cats complain about how toronto needs to get some decent stores with decent product, and how they wish someone in canada would carry porter...now that we have the goods, and first week in, cats are complaining about the price points...wow...

  8. be...not 100% sure regarding overall pricing...but in my opinion, the Visvims are pretty much on par...as for the rest of the store, i'm pretty sure price points will be reasonable...alot of cats think gdft is overpriced, but i disagree...limited sbs are priced a bit higher, but that's hype for ya...everything else they do is right on par...the gdft fam usually keeps things pretty reasonable in my opinion...

script...fbts elks are the suede joints no?...don't think they got those...the only fbts they have i believe are the leather joints...3 colours....white, black and brown...but your'e right, if it's the suede ones you're talking about, those are crazy...wish i could get my hands on a pair....the fbt 2s are insane too

  9. high contrast...

    in addition to notit's post...

they also carry Porter x atmos, headporter, Filson bags/luggage, bittersweet tees, Spruce, Wings&Horns (hella dope), Y3...they're expecting DaggersDrawn and some others...

  10. sr20det...i don't remember seeing any Judds while i was in there...but they did have a nice selection so they might have a few pairs not out on display yet...i'd give them a call...416-682-1107

  11. script...be there was a single released shortly after Unkle's first album dropped...it was actually Ian Brown singing over one of the tracks on Psyence Fiction...in my opinion, one of the dopest tracks Unkle ever put out...Or, Ian Brown since going solo for that matter...try to cop....

  12. toronto heads...

looks like Nomad will be open for business middle of this week...

had the privledge of peeping the interior and i must say that cats are gonna be pleased with this place...

product is dope as we all expected...heads aren't even gonna be ready for this...i can honestly say that Nomad is going to raise the bar in toronto...

best of luck to matt, jesar and the rest of the gdft camp...store looks banannas...

  13. James actually started UNKLE with Tim Goldworthy...they dropped some early singles most notably on the first Headz compilation...Tim jumped ship shortly after and James enlisted Shadow to produce an album...in my opinion, the best track UNKLE ever produced wasn't even on an album...Be There feat. Ian Brown...

James had always been a big fan of Futura, and had him do some work for album covers on early mo'wax releases...will bankhead i believe brought about the hook up...

  14. word is that opening is this weekend sometime..exact day?..not sure...

yeah, gonna have to try and stay away for the first couple of weeks...no cash flow...but wanna see the DaggersDrawn and Visvim stuff....
