  1. Beirut for sure. Although the number of tourists is growing fast, it doesn't have that overexposed touristy vibe (yet). Five-star accommodation galore, great food, a booming nightlife that'll stun even the most jaded, beaches + beach parties nearby and plenty of high-end stores to burn cash. Next to that there are plenty of sights to see. Have fun.

  2. Check out the following shops for hot local brands:

    Mesto

3 Petroverigsky Pereulok (Kitay Gorod area)

Twin Shopp inside Solyanka club (Kitay Gorod area)

    Solyanka Ulitsa 11/6

    Fork Forever (Basmanniy area)

    Nizhniy Susalniy Pereulok 5/9

    As for clubbing:

    Solyanka is a must-see!

    Solyanka Ulitsa 11/6

  3. Unless you've rented a gorgeous villa on the island, it's all about going to the blue grotto (not that interesting), hanging out at the sometimes very crowded beach and powershopping at the island's many high-end designer boutiques.

  4. Eigenlijk een stuk spannender dan ik dacht! Milan may have a solid reputation as business and high-fashion capital but there's a buoyant and young urban scene as well. Especially in the Porta Ticinese and Navigli areas you'll come across some cool stores and bars. As for designer outlets, I only checked out DMagazine on Via Montenapoleone which was pretty awful. Unfortunately I missed out on the 10 Corso Como outlet store but that doesn't mean YOU should ;-) Also check out the 10 Corso Como flagship...it stocks an amazing range of fashion, accessories, shoes and other wannahaves and it's as legendary as Colette, Paris. In short: Milan rocks!

  5. barcelona: untitled opening party

bread 'n butter teams up with 55dsl for the collaborative 'untitled' opening party is gonna rock barcelona till the wee small hours. kicking off at funky bar lobo that same wednesday, july 4 at 10pm [invite only!], it boasts a gig list that includes style-injected dj sets by jeff staple, andrea mazzantini and roamelsewhere. location: carrer del pintor fortuny 3 [ciutat vella].

  6. KLM is the most logical choice for me cause I'm Amsterdam-based (the only other non-stop AMS-NRT option being Japan Airlines). But other than that I love flying their Boeing 777 which has a fab inflight entertainment program...makes time fly...and I hate long-haul flights.
