No no @julian-wolf, precautionary, for the inevitable holes that will form. I did it because I was getting the crotch seams fixed so no extra price to add a patch. I was expecting more of a SEXSC06 style patch, but they tacked the whole thing on. Not too worried. They charged me $10. @ATWM, I estimate I have done about ~900 miles or so. Pretty similar to you. Washed 5 or 6 times. -
