We used to call them body warmers back in the 80s and they seemed to be worn primarily by market stall holders, often teamed up with moon boots! 😅 -

I didnt care for vests but got one recently and now I'm annoyed when I dont have it on. my other clothes have such little functionality compared to it. I guess this is how I end up becoming those old asian uncles I grew up with and wondered why they always had vests on. I already found my cold tolerance has gotten worse so this all makes sense.
