  1. Hello! Looking for some advice. Bears have restocked and now have a size 34 in the Levis 66 cut. Wondering if others have any experience with shrinking these made in Japan LVC? The waist is suppose to shrink 5 cm and lenght 8 cm. Does that sound about right? Also does the rise shrink much? Raw for a 34 is showing as front rise 11.5 inches and 15.3 inches back rise. I wouldn't want them to shrink much in the rise really. Also hem is just over 8 inches. Does this change much too? I'm quite used to looser cuts now so wondering if I should size up to a 36 instead. I know the 66 is supposed to be a slimmer cut but don't think I could go back to slim tapered again. I love the look of the fabric though and miss having arcurates on back pockets so thought I'd give these a try.
  2. That's a champion reverse weave
  3. Vintage levis 501s Vintage jcrew shirt Chucks
  4. 50s after another wash 🔵 I've avoided the dryer this time to reduce any shrinkage
  5. I kinda like this. They look really clean. Wonder why the change after all these years though
  6. Noticed Nudie Jeans have a new wider fit called Loud Larry. Their 30 size has a 11 inch hem. Pretty cool though as usual with nudies selvedge options are overpriced https://www.nudiejeans.com/product/loud-larry-dry-selvage
  7. Cheers @blooming ! I have washed these quite a bit actually and was kinda going with the whole Hayashi-san method but tbh with having young kids the jeans get pretty gross anyway after a week or two. They fade so fast though that I might still get a bit of contrast despite the regular washing.
  8. Update on my 220a 3 months of occasional wear These have molded really well to me and despite being heavier oz than I'd normally go for they are very comfortable.
  9. You won't regret. So comfy

  11. Giving the TCB 50s another go. This time went up a size to a 36 and I'm liking it a lot more this time. A similar wide fit to my fullcount 0105w but with a lower back rise. Really love the fabric. I've never had any levis 50s deadstock but I imagine these are very close
  12. Nice wee interview but I am confused as they talk about the XX denim and recreating it from the 1930s banner. I've got the Lot.220A offset XX but is that the basic model or is it the XX that they are discussing?
  13. I know but £300? Can't justify that. I decided to go for TCB 50s. The hem seems wider than maybe a true 55 cut but the fabric seems great. Went up a size 36 and the feel much better this time round. Or maybe I'm just getting fat
  14. I really like the cut of the levis lvc 1955 501s and from vintage examples the fades too but they seem to be £300 most places here in the UK. Although Bears Tokyo sell them at £188 (though currently out of stock in my size) My question is is it worth waiting for Bears to restock? Do they restock lvc often? I had heard that LVC was discontinuing? Or should I look elsewhere for a repro 501 55 cut and if so which would be the most suitable regarding accurate fabric and cut?
