I've seen the diy repair thread, but is there a thread for people to share homemade jeans? I want to make a pair in the future and would like some inspiration.

I don't remember noticing my 50s continuing to shrink with washing. But they definitely plateau because 30-some washes in the only shrinking area anymore is the waist which stretches beck out.

Asked about indigo dyed sweatshirts a couple weeks ago and I'm ready to pull the trigger on the Strike Gold one. Anyone have any experience with their sweats and know what I should expect in shrinkage if any at all?

The Jam is great, but I saw Paul Weller solo with my dad a few years ago and dude played THREE encore sets and each was another three songs. Rubbed me the wrong way lol. Encores are bad enough as it is.

Similar top block but they hug my calves less than my greasers. Pocket openings feel smaller than my greasers.

Never read it as criticism, just a comparison in quality. To say your product is the same quality as someone else's means you think highly of their products' quality. Seems like praise to me.
Also, different cut, different product. Not a copy if it uses similar fabric. Also flannels are so ubiquitous that to claim someone is ripping off someone else's design is goofy unless it's some sort of wild design.
Whole thing seems like looking for a problem where there isn't one. But I'm a huge LF fan, so maybe I'm biased.

Thanks for the input!

Strike Gold is still offering indigo dyed sweats as well, and unless the fit has changed over the years they're fairly short.
I dig the look of this one a lot. Looks like Klaxon has them available at a price I like too (shipping ain't bad either) -- does anyone here have any experience ordering from them to the U.S.?

What are my options for indigo dyed sweatshirts/hoodies? Looks like 3sixteen has some, any other options? I like the vintage cuts with the shorter length measurements. Thanks!

Doesn't seem like there's much activity in this thread but I wanted to share my Greasers that I've had since summer 2018. These are the 15oz Xinjiang cotton black marias. They were incredibly slow faders, but I think they've got a lot of character now. Love the left hand twill, it's made these super velvety soft.
The crotch is mostly patches at this point. Also had to bring the waist in an inch. These have been my guinea pig for figuring out how to repair shit with my sewing machine.
Love this brand though. Just bought a pair of Smokestacks in the 15oz crosshatch denim and I love the texture of them. Will post pictures of those when they get some fade.

Idk, I'm active on r/rawdenim and I think the "include a paragraph about the jeans" thing is only a suggestion. Lotta posts that don't have any blurb along with them.

Thanks guys! I love that these jeans look like I pulled them from a pile of clothes at an estate sale or something. The cut is perfect too. Will probably get another pair of 50s in the future but right now I'm working on a pair of Left Field Smokestacks.

Those of you who work on jeans with a machine, what recommendations do you have for a good quality sewing machine? I've been using an old Brother machine I got for free that's done alright, but it struggles when I have to patch over a flat felled seam. Also plan on making my own jeans in the not too distant future and I'd like to set myself up for success.
Should I look for vintage Singers? Should I try and score an industrial machine off facebook marketplace? Or are there reliable (i.e. lots of metal parts, and no computers) machines being made these days that I oughta consider? Not sure if $500 is a reasonable budget but that's what I'm at least starting with.
Appreciate it!
