  1. Not every pant can fit like the P23. If you want unrestricted movement, you either have to use a voluminous cut or a stretchy fabric which looks/feels bad or stretches out over time.

The idea of Veilance is simple: ordinary clothes with a technical minimalist approach which is city sensible. I live in my Voronois, Aligns and Fields which are distinctively different cuts. The Voros have a knee dart which dramatically improve comfort when sitting. The Aligns have a slimmer cut than the Field which are more appropriate for formal settings. I do hear your point on the reuse of patterns. Fuck the Convex. If you work in a office, Veilance pants are a gods send. I use to wear trousers which would get uncomfortable sitting down.

I get that there are certain things in the pattern that could be improved but understand that they work within various constraints. Add too many panels and they get overly technical. Widen the cut here, then they won't retain the clean look. I would like to hear recommendations on pants of a similar silhouette which you believe fit better.  The OG Classics maybe?

EDIT: BTW who knows what new pants are coming for FW. If nothing exciting is coming, may just cave and buy some comfy Vis ones

I dont believe it's peat but a Golden brown. I have a video of the EU trade show with the colour pallet that I've already shared with some members here.

Fuck the down sweaters. They're actually super cool in what kind of insulation they use and how they're constructed that the video doesn't quite capture, but still ugly.

    Winter gonna be expensive

  3. Came across this and thought it's worth a share. From the brand name that would puzzle store associates to now the outerwear titan, Veilance has certainly come a long way. I can't be feel there more authenticity back in the day, maybe it's just nostalgia.

Peep the old Field jackets and the god ERLSN in Veilance

Any experience with the updated Apparat (50/50)?  i'm guessing it is also a little more substantial/heavy than the Convex LT?

Much thiner than seasons before. It's slightly thickets than the Convex but the construction doesn't feel like a hybrid anymore. Seriously good.

Can someone who has had experience with Geom SFT kindly chime in? You could drop a note on the fit / comfort / mid layer adaptability / fits etc

Same. This was my grail. I'm glad to hear about any experience

  5. I don't want to buy it but I've seen a seller on Grailed move a ton of Frame LS in the 'Ash' and blue colour shown. If they're fake, feel sorry for all the buyers.

  6. I would reason comparing wide fit pants to a slim cargo like the Field isn't the most fair. You're right, the pant doesn't have much articulation beyond the crotch gusset, which does extend to the thighs and adds some shape. I don't feel constricted wearing these as compared to my other Veilance pants. I went TTS and they're very comfortable, though the back rise could be a little higher.

The pocket bags are cut with quite some volume and if you keep you load light, you'll be good. I don't think the intention was every to accommodate 3 boxes of Poky and a bag or Cheetos. The size I assume was more for a small notebook or tech. The organizer pocket I use for by ID card.

I'm glad they're not a super warm fabric like Fortius. The light weight makes the pants better suited for a broader gamut of weather. I'll wear  merino long johns on colder days

There was some discussion about the new Field LT Jacket being cut quite slim a while back but was there ever a consensus about sizing? Measurements on Haven make it seem very very slim, enough to size up.

Honestly sizing up isn't a bad idea. When I tried it on, I could barely move my arms. They've removed the shoulder gusset-fold things and leaning your arms forward is impossible. I do have a broad chest but my Arris doesn't give me trouble of the sort

Since the odd question pops up here and there, I'll address all the changes:

    • Vislon zipper
    • No zippers on the hand pockets
    • cuff adjusters gone, internal gasket similar to Mionn implemented
    • Hem pocket flaps not full open
    • Shit fit
    • internal pocket config changed
  8. Its all good I'll have buddy swing by Van. Without ecomm, its really stuff I'd need to see in person. Certain things still feel to athliesurely. I'll drop you a PM.

Agreed. Though that would be fixed by repositioning seam junctions. I just got the Dyadic hoody. Over a Frame tee, I feel it bearing down.

Fuck that's expensive for Lulu. Is that the Haedn jacket I see?

  9. Does the shirt use sewn buttons then? I've tried applying DWN on my Polytope with success; though I just feels silly. I'm sure you apply down to that shirt as well. If you're looking for a Polytope, let me know I can probably ask someone to get one for you.

It was my understanding that AV just didn't like the whole exposed seam thing. A lot of my Lulu and Reigning Champ gear have flat locked seams and I just don't see the visual appeal nor is it too comfortable.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. I don't get why they're so cryptic on their website. I just want to see more products. No comment on the mesh tank.

Interesting. I assume they have two creative teams then? I guess my real question is, is the gear minimal or more techy?

  10. Van and NYC gear heads, how is Lululemon Lab? Just exactly what kind of concept is it. Ostensibly there is a mix of in-house and 3rd party (Cote & Ciel). Are there any stand out pieces. From the instagram pictures, it doesn't look like much of a departure from the dad and yoga instructor gear. How are the prices? Are there any cool pants I can wear to the office?
