For sale: Roy RT1002 Roy Tapered Cone Mills Black Seed Denim, tagged 30.
Bought these on eBay about 5 years ago, but never wore them myself. They seem to have been hemmed to around 30". I wish I could provide better measurements, but I don't have a tape measure here. The jeans have been worn, maybe 10 times, but look like they've never been washed.
Is $500 a fair asking price?
Just giving these a bump. If you're interested, just throwout a fair price. Am pretty flexible. Shipping from New York.

@cool_hand I was checking the measurements online and it says the size 32 is 87cm at the waist. That seems quite large for 32, which is TTS for me. You think I should size down or that the measurements on the site are off? For reference, it says size 36 measures 97cm. Can you confirm?

There's some here, I think:

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen many times - do a repair, 10 minutes later a new rip. If I get a new hole every time I wear them, that's how I know a pair of jeans is done. But the ones you sent me seem like they have lots of life left. I'll post some updates on them from time to time and, if you have any more to throw away, please think of me. Thanks again, Neal.

So here they are, all patched up and ready to go. Going to give them a run through the washing machine today and then straight into the rotation. This was a complicated repair, Neal, and my sewing machine can't really run over the super thick seams, but managed to work around that. Unfortunately, I didn't have any dirty denim scraps, so had to go with the baby blue, but it's not at all noticeable when wearing them. Thanks again for passing them along!

Fine by me..
I must warn you tho, the 'grime' on the thighs is a build up of a home made mould release solution which i use to coat moulds at work.. it's on the thighs because the thighs are at table height and being wax based, you will probably not be able to remove it unless you very hot wash them with lots of detergent.. also, i've already removed the patch but if you still want them.. you're welcome to them, just drop me a pm to sort out the deets.. RM tracked to Germany will probably be around £10
Thank you! Will DM now. And don't worry, I'll let everyone I run into know that they're not covered in jizz

Last look at these old (+tab +arcs) SC-47s i've been wearing for work, before they go in the bin
Low res old phone snaps i'm afraid..
the ass blew around a year ago from the bike saddle, i've since patched it 3 times..
The waist button popped off a few months ago so they've been held up (just) on the fly..
..a couple of weeks ago i tore a hole in the crotch while stepping onto a chair to reach something.. Huf!.. i'm not doing anymore repairs
I'll keep the patch
if you look carefully.. you can just about see denim under the grime
..they haven't been washed for maybe a year.. my intention was to eke them out for as long as poss.. then bin them
Rather than throwing them in the bin, why not ship them to Germany? I can wash them and repair them and give them a 3rd life. Size 32 is perfect for me Happy to pay for the shipping.

Yeah, I assumed 11/94, but I guess I’m looking for more info on those pre-LVC big Es. I thought they only made 37s and 55s back then…

So I picked these up from a vintage store here in Berlin and I was hoping some Valencia St. wizards could shed more light on them. They look to be pre-LVC 60s repros, but I wasn't aware that Levi's did 60s repros at the time... Have you guys seen pairs like this before? Also, any idea where the denim comes from? Any clues would be great. Thank you!

@Topnotcher Try Burg & Schild... I remember they had some pairs lying around a few months ago. They're not listed on the website, but they were there in stock.

Thx, @rodeo bill. Those measurements are super helpful. I was looking to buy a pair in rinsed denim, so these were perfect for me.
Just one more question. I see by the measurements that the 130 and 132 are basically identical in the top block... So if I was looking to get a pair w about a 31" inseam and around an 8/8.5" hem, I should go w the 132, correct?
Also, what is the waist measurement of a size 2?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm sure it's been posted on the thread before, but the search function doesn't go past page 98.
I'm wondering if anyone has measurements for 132 and 130 in size 3. Trying to decide between the two models.
Saw a guy here in Berlin wearing a busted out pair of Tenders the other day and now I want a pair myself

Quick fun story.
Went to get an MRI a few days ago and was told to take off all metal, but I could keep my pants on (TCB 50s). When I was put into the machine, the fly of the pants visibly went up. The technician pulled me out and was like, are your pants magnetic? I didn't know what to say, so I just said, They're old-fashioned jeans. He shrugged and was like, well as long as the buttons don't fly off, you're fine. Later, when he pulled me out of the machine, he said he was talking to the other technician and in 10 years of doing MRIs, they'd never seen pants that reacted to the machine before.
All of which leads me to conclude that not enough denim heads are going to get their heads checked.

Quick question. Recently got a pair of 1001xx (in the correct size) and I love them and noticed a pair of 1001 for sale here locally. I assume the difference has to do with the denim, but what is the difference exactly?

What does the waist measure on those? I see you noted for Big measurements, but I don't actually see measurements. Thanks!

FRONT RISE 30
BACK RISE 40.5
THIGH 31
HEM 22.5
INSEAM 82.5

@Denimstoyevsky how you measuring the thigh..?
From crotch to outseam, but as you can see in the photo, the fabric is folded over weird. Would be happy to measure from inseam to outseam, if you want.

Hey. A few months back I posted in the Roy thread about having some jeans for sale. At the time, I was worried they smell too much like my mom's cigarettes. Luckily, this isn't the case. They just smell like they've been stored in a pile of denim for 3 years. In the US for the next week and would be glad to ship them promptly. Open to trade offers for Warehouse, Yofukuten, Resolute, or cone era LVC in my size (roughly 32 in WH). As for how to price these, I have no idea... I put them on Grailed for a ridiculous price - and if someone wants to pay that, I won't stop them. For you guys, any reasonable offer will work.
Roy RN01? Size 30 Original seller said he bought them from Self Edge in 2008 and hemmed to 30 inch inseam. Wear is what you see in pics - a little fading on the back pocket, creases behind the knees. These still feel pretty crispy.
Measurements:
Waist - 15.5"
FR - 9"
BR - 13.5"
Thigh - 11"
Inseam - 30"
LO - 7"5 -
Hey guys. Clearing out a few pairs that don't fit after covid. Jeans are located in Berlin, all prices are flexible, and include shipping within Europe. Just make me an offer. And as always, feel free to ask for measurements. Since these jeans are pretty well known models, I figured it's okay to post them without measurements for the time being.
Also, trades are accepted! Looking for Resolute, Warehouse, or LVC 55/66 in size 32 or maybe 33.
Denim 66, Orizzonti era, size 31, asking 150€
LVC 1947, tagged 32x36, last of the Cone era (I believe), asking 100€
Warehouse 900, tagged 31x32, asking 75€

If it weren't for those rivets, I wouldn't pay $300 for the jeans...

Fair enough. I just forget to take pictures/measurements before I left New York. Had my father do these. Hopefully they give a more clear idea.
