I’ve been coveting the single riders jacket from TFH for awhile but this new brown version is really cool. Any of you have sizing tips for Flat Head leather jackets?

Tho not in favor in these here parts, I'll readily admit that IH XHS 25oz is still one of my favorite denims. But, their new slub denim I do not care for. I'd like to see it person some day, but prolly would never own it.
I don’t fault IH for doing something that’s different for them. I’m not into slub denim but it’s interesting nonetheless. I think if you’re a denim company it’s just a matter of time that you spread your wings a little and do things outside of your wheelhouse, otherwise consumers lose interest.

I'm curious, does anyone know if Iron Heart ever sold denim banners to the public? I see pictures of them on the internet floating around and wondered if they ever had them for sale of if they were sent to retailers only.
Pretty sure the banners were for retailers only

I picked up the navy flannel not too long ago but have only recently been able to wear it now that the temps have dropped. It's super beefy and the fit works for me. Love the acorn pockets and the hidden pen slot as well. Great colorway to boot. I'm officially a fan and will definitely buy more in the future. Still wished UES made a larger sized type III as i'd like to try that out someday.

What denim western shirt would you recommend to a 6'5" (196cm), 88kg fella?
Feels like I've been all over the interwebs without finding one that'll fit.I don't know of too many other companies that make denim westerns besides Iron Heart but you could look to The Flat Head, Studio D'artisan or Freenote Cloth. Freenote might be your best bet. Their westerns appear to be cut a little longer in the body, so maybe they'll have something that fits you. But, I don't know how heavy their denim is. I have zero experience with Freenote so you'll have to do some research

What’s the ring sting rating on the hot sauce? 10 being “it’s not funny my ass is on fire.”

Any of you have experience with UES’s knits, especially their hoody? I was looking at Withered Fig’s sizing recommendations for UES henleys and they say to size up 2 from your western size, 1 up from your Japanese size. Is this your experience with the hoodie as well?

Thinking about getting back into skateboarding. Any tips on what size board I should get? I wear a size 10 shoe so I’m thinking 8.5”. I’ll probably break my hip but life’s too short

some of you might like this. This is Jake Ferguson’s project, The Brkn Record. Jake is one of the co-founders of The Heliocentrics along with Malcolm Catto

One thing I’ve noticed about social media is the repetition, as mentioned, or what I call copy cat syndrome. That is to say, people like to mimic each other whether it’s IG, Tik Tok or YouTube just to get likes. My son watches a lot of YouTubers play Minecraft and one of the observations I made was how they all say, “let’s go!” It’s like clockwork. I don’t understand why this happens but it’s an annoying phenomenon.

please, for the love of God, stop with the flat lays on IG. There’s nothing that screams I’ve run out of ideas more than a flat lay. Also, dudes that take staged pics of themselves kneeling to adjust the cuff on their denim must be launched into a hornets nest.*rant over*

I didn’t mean he should scale back, I meant scale as in grow. He’s one person doing everything, allegedly, which means he should hire more workers to help him catch up on all the back orders he has. The guy is either very stupid or greedy/cheap.

The odd thing for me is that he seems unable to or unwilling to scale his business. I mean, if you’re backlogged then the sensible thing to do is hire more people. Either way, sh*tty business model. Can’t believe anyone follows this Dwight Yoakam wannabe on IG

MMR ADM - ft. Malcom Catto
This was a mysterious project 10” vinyl release a good few years ago. Very hard to find now, but has just popped up on Spotify.
Easily on of my favorite records.
can’t quite categorize it. Funk sounding library, synth, drumming mania thing.
Catto is regards as one of the great living fusion/funk drummers (so I’ve read) and was sampled by all sorts of hip hop producers thinking his drumming on various 7” must be old rare groove funk - or so the myth goes.
he’s been the live tour drummer for Dj Shadow in the past. Lives in Bath or Bristol and has a band/ projected called Heliocentrics.
anyways. Give it a listen - it’s a start to end type listen. Not too long. About 16mins
my pick being 4our if you want to dip into it for a taste
lemme know what you think?

Used to own that 10”. Sold it yrs ago. Love the Heliocentrics too

I’m looking to buy merino wool base layers (top & bottom) and curious which brands you guys like. Smartwool appears to be highly rated but I’m open to other suggestions. I came across another brand called Merino 365 that sells merino wool made in New Zealand but not sure of the quality. I’d like something either lightweight or midweight.
