I'm not a fan of Oni's in pants form, but god damn does the fabric look good in jacket form!

Nothing too serious, just a huge storm that rolled through. LA does not do well with large amounts of water.

I would most definitely join in on a group buy like this Volvo. I was going to try and have a one off made, but I can wait until all the measurements are dialed in.

Crazy, have not seen a system wall like that before.

Alright here are some comparisons from when I had them last:
Forgive my Lightroom skills, I think I might have gone a bit overboard with the color correction the last time I had them (today's pictures are more true to color). Anyway, there is not much difference, but the top block has lightened up considerably, also of note is the difference in the knee from all of our different heights.

^ha was just gonna say the same! I'd be so confused on that wall.

I just spent the weekend out in Joshua Tree and the Salton Sea with my wife and two dogs, and of course, I brought the Denime's along for the ride. If you have ever been out to the California desert, I highly recommend it, it is a really strange place to explore, with vast desert, abandoned buildings, HUGE ecological disasters (Salton Sea), and a community of lawless people living as free as they can.
We spent our first day in Big Morango, and Joshua Tree, where we explored and had a few meals before having a relaxing night:
The next day we headed down to the Salton Sea to explore a bit of the stranger side of the desert. For those of you that do not know about the Salton Sea, it is the largest lake in California that is actually highly toxic due to it's lack of drainage and shallow depth. It used to have a thriving tourist economy back in the 50's before it became the dead body of water it is today:
After the Salton Sea, we headed to Salvation Mountain, the work of one man who was still building it up until his death at 80 years old. I'm not a religious man, so it felt a bit strange to impede on those who were there out of faith but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
All in all it was a great trip out of the big city!

The tour is not forgotten! Second round for me! Thank you Cucoo for sending them off and the postcards/seeds.
Nothing remarkable is happening yet, but I'll be heading to Joshua tree this weekend so I'll be sure to document my time, I'm also planning on doing some side by side comparisons of when I had these last when I find the time today.

Too hot today for my 50's jacket so my old Imogene and Willie got pulled out of the closet.

Take this with a grain of salt since it's Denimio, but they have them as slightly higher rise than the 103, and a slightly smaller hem width. They look to be somewhere in between the 107 and 103 with a higher rise than both and a similar thigh to the 103 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From what I can tell from the interwebs and bad Google translation, it's their non-repro inspired line, no archs, no pigs pulling apart jeans, more modern cut. Here is a review from a Korean denim blog; http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=sjonthemoon&logNo=220596849175

These don't get much love, but they are reaching their 1 year mark so I thought I'd post them up:
SDA 307 about 7 months of active wear:
Fit picks are probably the most true to color. Anyway, these have been relegated to my sometimes pants (my wife likes the tight fit more than my TCBs or my other SDAs, so I indulge her). They get washed just about whenever we are doing the wash, so maybe every 2-3 wears. I really love this fabric, it has amazing texture and stands up to frequent washing really well.

@unders Glad to see another Perfecto style jacket, seems like they don't get much love around here.

Thanks! They don't get much wear these days as they are a bit snugger than I'd like but I am loving how they are shaping up, and the 18oz denim is perfect for the "colder" days here in LA.

It really is! I was able to keep the full thighs and higher rise but get rid of the 90's look that the 8.5in opening was giving me.
I'm actually thinking about doing the same with a pair of TCB 50's.

So after a few days of being unhappy with my 60's and feeling they were turning into washed out dad jeans, I decided to just say fuck it and continue to wear and wash frequently (every 1-2 weeks) and boy are they starting to get good!

I'll take a second round!
