  1. got my J47a-GT last night and Hooo boy is it a thing of beauty!

Got an M and it fits perfectly, with enough room an under layer but looks good without one.

    For reference I'm 5'-10.5" 180.

OOOO Boy   you got me excited. I ordered an M in the J47a-GT too and can't wait to get it. Hopefully, the fit will be on point like yours. I'm 5'10 and 166 though.

  2. Got my package today, J50-WS fits pretty slim indeed, first though was to send it back and buy size larger, but after watching all lookbooks available, i decided to keep it, since sleeve length-wise it fits ok, don’t want to have another (wu wear) S6-C laying around. Here is some fitpic for anyone still considering:

    Size SMALL, 5’8â€

P10-DS are great, best pants for cycling in the city hands down, but regarding overall feel, i still prefer Stotz.

Bomber fit looks good. Not too slim. I guess as long as you're able to move freely it should be fine.

  3. Been reading this thread for ages so thought I'd finally sign up whilst I have the post-purchase high. Found I'm able to layer the WS-51 on top of something like C1-BR and then the J47A-GT on top of both which should be a decent amount of warmth for the colder months. Bit worried about the sizing of the Lunar AF1s now so I've gone with the smaller end and crossing my fingers they'll work out on arrival. Luckily the EU Nike store seems to still be restocking random sizes every so often.

That's some sick layering buddy and congrats on the first post. I just joined sufu recently and bought my first acronym piece this week.

Question: Are the ws-51 and j47a-gt the same size? I am thinking hard of picking up the j57a-gt to layer on top of my J50-WS.

As for the lunar AF1s, if you went down .5 size you should be fine.

  4. With that temp you'll need an insulator underneath. That jacket is just a shell, you have to layer underneath the shell.

Cool. I could layer my J50 or the insulated bomber piece that came the NikeLab ACG jacket

  5. Not a fit pic, but: For any other J32 owner/users who've been staring at the J47 and wondering, I just laid both coats flat, overlapped. Size L, both.

Exact same pit-to- pit. Exact same hem-to-shoulder. Quite a bit more collar on the J47, and a bit more hood, by the looks of it. Sleeves roughly the same. Cloths look identical.

Verdict: Very similar coats, to the eye, but optimized for dissimilar missions. J32 is for spontaneous raids. "It's raining, and I need milk and opiates." J47, with its added two-story napoleon pocket and hem-relief zip, is the deliberate urban patrol version. Street photographer's coat.

    Deliriously happy to have both.

Good feedback. I'm about to spring for the J47a and i haven't even received my first Acronym piece yet (ordered the J50-WS on Tuesday) but damn ..this is addictive lol

Edit: How warm do you think the J47a is? Can it withstand minus temperatures?

  6. The J47A has a rear quarter zipper (maybe two?) that the plain J47 doesn't.  Permits one's purse to be gotten at with the coat worn over it.  See here:

Thanks. Yeah I understood the difference in that the j47a has more pockets, zips etc. I guess people choose either based on aesthetics then?

  7. Can someone educate me on the difference between interops and non-interops jacket? Basically, I'm trying to decide whether to get the J47-a GT or J47. Looking at pictures, the only difference seems to be that the J47a GT has more pockets but otherwise it's the same jacket?

  8. Functional? Acronym?

They don't always get everything right, but they're *always* trying. I doubt you'll be disappointed in that regard.

And Errolson put the "fun" in "functional."

That's what i like to hear. I've read a few articles on the brand so it's not like i'm blindly buying into Acronym and I do own a Nike ACG piece. But when you go from copping less than $500 dollar jackets to ones that cost over a grand..there's a little anxiety. Like most people, i wanna get what i pay for.

  9. It's fitted.  With the way it's cut though you may be okay depending where those extra 20 pounds are lol.  I don't think there is too much more room in the shoulders (width wise) but if you have bigger arms/waist/chest it might work. Lengthwise you should be good.

Thanks for sharing. Not sure where the extra 20 pounds are lol but hope it fits. I'll find out soon enough.

  10. Go with your regular acronym size for the loose look. The material is very elastic so you can size down one for a fitted look. I went with my normal size so I could layer underneath.  For reference I'm 5'9" 145lb, and went with mediums.  I'm went medium in gt-j22/j50-ws/ds-la3/ds-hd2/j48-ss/j47, small in j29-ch and j1a-s.  Went medium in gt-j27pl but could have done a small for a slightly more fitted look.

Is M in the J50-WS normal/tight for you?? I'm 5'10 165lbs and went with M. 20 lbs heavier than you. Ordered online since I couldn't get it in store and now i'm afraid i messed up on my first purchase  :(  I did look at the chest measurements though and the M was in line with jacket sizes I would get from other labels but of course Acronymn may be different...

  11. Hello everyone! Long time lurker here. A little nervous as I just made the leap of faith and ordered my first Acronym piece. the J50-WS Bomber! I was curious to try out Acronym after my experience with the poor man's Acronym - Errolson's NikeLab ACG 2 in 1 Jacket which I really love.

I am hoping this jacket will hold up well, and be functional.

  12. Also, not to spam the thread. But now that I am back from my 2 week trip in southeast Asia I have some feedback and a review on how the Nomin held up.

If anyone in interested just quote this and I'll throw up the review and photos.

Looking forward to that review on the nomin pack firstdoorontheleft! I just picked one up but am not sure whether to keep it. Looks great and all but I want to know what the durability is going to be like and if this pack will last.
