  1. Thanks for the comparison pictures. I think the fit looks great but given your height and weight, I would've guessed that you would go for a size Small instead of XS. Theres definitely people that are under 171cm and 68kg and you seem to be average size/build. I think this has helped me pull the trigger on the P15's. Thank you!

  2.

P31-DS (SS19) vs P15-DS (FW23). I own neither, but from the differences I could find is that the P31-DS has more of a dropped crotch than the P15-DS? Any other stark differences I'm missing? Leaning towards on getting this seasons P15-DS for availability but wanted to see thoughts.

In the meanwhile, 1 week after the purchase and still nothing has been shipped.

If you don't mind telling, where generally are you located? I find it odd it hasn't even shipped yet.

  5. Yeah for sure. I appreciate you guinea pigging and providing feedback on the fit. Personally couldnt do it because of the split rib collar where the zipper doesnt go all the way down.

Received J117 in M from drop A, holy shiiiit sizing is screwed up lol. Im 5’8, 163lb and have perfected fitting J97 and P39 PR + T-shirts all in medium that fit perfectly.

J117 looks and feels like fucking xxl, how is it possible to make the sizing so inconsistent for ACR brand. I hope someone is reading this and taking notes at ACR. Damn lol.

I'm assuming you got a Medium considering the J97 and T-Shirts were all M. Note that it's a "Loose" fit vs "Profile" fit,

    Compared to J97M

    J117 is

    6.5cm more in chest
    5.5cm more in length
    Same Shoulders and Same Sleeves

Apparently this is also him, and he scammed someone right here with this SM1 last week. So beware of new accounts I guess...he's probably still around here right now reading this. Laughing, alone, yet laughing.

  8. Unfortunate. Let it be known that when buying anything online

    * Always Paypal Goods and Services

    * When trading, both should send to a trusted 3rd party to facilitate even if it costs more.

  9. Lets talk Coats.

Has anyone over the years had an Acrnm coat that they really enjoyed?

I'm partial to the J46-S. It seems to be the right amount of everything. Versatile, simple and great.

  10. Really leaning on the branding and logos. They never had to do it that much before. You know its an Acronym Jacket by just looking at it. Now you'll really know. Wish Veilance would be more interesting.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming changes of their selling strategies.

Pessimist in me believes that nothing will change for the near future. I'd like to be wrong.

With M looking absolutely painted onto Errolson, should I assume he’s bigger than ever or that us L folks should eye XL?

    Which one are you referencing?

  14. Correction needs to come without a doubt. It's easy to comment on this from the consumer outside looking in perspective, but Errolson must be feeling some pressure and must make some moves, whether its producing fewer quantities, lowering prices, or coming out with a season where all the items are good, not just a few one offs.

Honestly would rather see overstock, even if it were without sales, than see pieces getting scalped. Errolson seems to struggle with finding a balance, though opening pre-orders would probably be a good way to dial in the right quantity for not only the item itself but the sizes. Small stock always seems to disappear quickly and then XL will sit for a year or more.

Of course I'm just saying this because I want my chances for the upcoming J36-WS to be as high as possible when I know it's going to be a sought-after jacket and competition to cop will be intense

Agreed having more is better than having less. I believe that peak hype passed maybe 6+ years ago. Techwear was more popular as a genre then ever, Nike Collabs bringing it more mainstream, and the price point being slightly less made it so scalping was still profitable. Much easier to sell $1,000 jackets for $1,500 then it is for $1,500 to $2,000+.

Errolson has to know what previous iterations are popular and what aren't. I know it's all about continuous evolution, but when you have classic runs that you want to reup that are known to sell out like J36, J28, J72 please do make more. They print money.

After seeing the LA6B-DS sell out again on the mother site it’s got me curious. Does this garment in a technical fabric hold up to hundreds of washes like I expect all my other button down long sleeve shirts to? Also I don’t understand the appeal of a utilitarian workwear item like a shirt being only owned in one or maybe two units. For those who own this piece would you be willing to get to a full set of 5 to cover a work week if it was available to purchase at retail?

I think you may be missing the point. While schoeller 3xDry Dryskin is a fantastic fabric and does hold up to many washes without fading color, I believe you're looking at this piece through the wrong lens. There is high appeal due to the versatile nature where its not too busy or extra. It can fit many looks and anyone can pull it off. It's hard to fuck this up. It can be office wear, it can be date night, it can be open buttoned casually. The band collar also gives it that "asian" flair which is popular in lieu of a standard button down collar which helps separate it from the norm.

Of course this one would be very popular.

    Hey all,

Just wondering what other brand do you guys like to pair with your acronym joints? Personally for me feel like a full ACR fit is overkill most of the time and i tend to pair my pieces with some Visvim, Snowpeak and some kiko here and there, was wondering are there any other brand you guys feel match/compliment the ACR colour pallete/silhouette

Over time, looking at Acronym and Techwear as a whole, I've been having higher preference over fit's and not costumes. What can bring people into the brand/genre is the certainly the functionality and quality, but the first experience is usually the tech ninja hypebeast look that may have been popularized in 2016ish. Straps, pockets, military. This may or may not be related to the overkill you're thinking of.

I don't mind full ACR fit's when it gets a bit more simple. Do you really need the P23A's when you aren't even utilizing the capacity on those or your J28? Maybe the standard P23 would be sufficient for that use case.

Nowadays I go for different ACR pieces than I normally would have back then. I think that's why the P39-M was so popular even though it's so "pedestrian", although the cheaper pricing may also have played into that. You can also look at the sales of the recent LA6B-DS. There is definitely a time and a place for going full on display, but I like the hidden capability Greyman aesthetic where its more subtle and that can still be achieved with majority ACR.

Another point of consideration is if you're going to be spending a significant amount of money on a single jacket that it may as well be the more outlandish ones because otherwise you would be purchasing cheaper from a different brand, but I digress...

Anyway here's some "normal" fits that are full ACR and aren't overkill imo.
