sucks man. get that darned before it explodes.
Ive been in Costa Rica for the last 10 days, so no jeans for me. I dont understand how the SE Asian brotherhood does it in the humidity.
Was in CR in late May. Wore my Samurai two days, arrival and departure. I spend most of my time in the water, so I wore them the only days that were practical.

when I first saw Truman boots, i immediately thought they were viberg knockoffs.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
About as much as all the denim in this sub are knock-offs.
Similar, but different in price point, customization, availability, etc. And if you read Vibergs description they are also copies.
Knock-off is deragotory, so I would say no.

Repost the pic here. I get nothing also.

I had the same issue as mpukas, too tight in hips and thighs with room everywhere else. That was on the KS1001.

PayPal is the only way to go for overseas purchases. I've never been burned by PayPal as a buyer, credit card would be super risky. I've made purchases before from USA sellers and then my cc has been used within their head office cities....
I've only had one purchase ever, where I needed assistance. It was with PayPal, and they came through 100%. The reason I did not want to use PayPal was because the Samursi are a pre-order. With PayPal, you only have 20 days from payment date to dispute the charge if you do not receive what you paid for, and the seller is unwilling to work with you.
I trust Rakuten completely, I was just looking for that extra level of protection because the make-up is three months out.
If they were something in stock, I would not have thought twice. In fact, I prefer to pay with PayPal.

They've been great in the past for in stock product.
Took the plunge on the pre-order. Always wanted to try the AI.
Placed the order with cc as I've purchased in the past, but they wanted PayPal only for preorders. Cancelled order. Maybe BIG or Denimio will get some stock of the AI.

@STP - I've been eyeing that pair of Samurai S5000COG-AI as well. I'm interested in the S5000 cut, but I'm a little hesitant that it might be too low rise and too tight thighs for my shape and taste.
I have the S510 OG 16oz AK, which appears to be a similar denim (16oz vs 18oz) - natural indigo dyed warp and persimmon dyed weft, and has similar details. That denim is my favorite of all that I own/owned. For a natural indigo, it's not very slubby or irregular as compared to SDA or PBJ, but the color is so dark and dramatic. It is showing signs of fading, even thought I don't wear them frequently. In sunlight you can see so many variations in blues and purples, and they're all set off against the brown weft back ground. I know a lot of fella's don't like dyed weft, but I really like it. Truly special and unique denim, IMO.
I have to be careful when it comes to thighs. I have the same cut in the 25oz 15th Anniversary Samurai in 35 waist, which is a size down from my IH 36. The thighs are fine. FR is lowest of all cuts though.
Hope that helps.

The link you posted is from the shop 2ND. They are more than legit, they just speak bad English if at all.
So it should work out
Thank you.

Thinking about a Samurai pre-order Global Rakuten. I've had great experiences ordering in the past, just never a pre-order, and never from Billboard. Any input from the experts here?

please bring it to la
I second that.

I will have a store credit once received by SESF. I'm close enough to SELA, and like the denim enough, that I may go in and try on multiple pairs to see if I can find a pair that will not be too tight after washing.

While the material might be nice i am yet to see a single fit pic that has me really in awe of the denim, the cut seems to be pretty odd, similar to all the other strike gold cuts
This was my first TSG attempt. I wish the cut had worked. My situation may have been a mistake. Long story short - purchased size 36. Waist was 35.5(no problem), thigh 12.25(problem for me). On item page 36 is supposed to have 13.2 thighs. Wasn't meant to be I guess.

TTS in the waist for me is 35. TTS in the thigh for me is 12.5. Thighs don't stretch like the waist does. I always look at the thigh measurement first. YMMV.

The denim on the SESG is incredible! Just got mine. One of the measurements important to my body type was off, so I will, sadly, be returning.
For anyone on the fence, get off your butt and buy, the material is special, rigid, and the indigo is beautiful.

Been wearing my TSG Corlection collab Tshirts lately. Great fit. Had to size up one full size. Similar fit to TFH. I wear a 44 in TFH and a 2xl in these TSG.

New products is always a good thing. Other manufacturers will have the opportunity gain more knowledge from Tanuki's successes and/or failures.

"Tanuki" seems to have a few different meanings, one prominent reference is to testicles. Interesting...

Looking great. Mine are still slow faders. I like that they're slow, the rest seem fast. Been wearing mine all summer.

Rock those CKs. I'm usually a 35 for the fit I am comfortable in.
I have 35w Samurai 710DMO on right now. I thought about going 38 with the TSG, but the extra 1/4 inches were'nt where I needed or wanted. In fact my Sammy's are looser in the waist, and snug in the hips and thighs.
Usually SE orders get to me in a day or two. I'll know soon.

Wavy it is. Online, so I can't yet speak to the feel and fit, but very hopeful. It was also the last 36, so it was time to choose.

Took the plunge. Kept looking and looking. Fingers crossed the crotch does not ride too high.

MK is more expensive. Personally I would rather try Samurai AI before MK.
