  1. i guess trying on the jacket and looking at the details i wasn't as convinced that the purchase was worth it as normal when i purchase an item from acrnm. when i first received the j47a i was blown away by the details and quality of the jacket. they are two different jackets obviously but i just didn't get anything like that from the j25-ws. i suppose i will give it a shot during some downpour but i'll probably keep it in my 3a until then. thanks for the input

I have both of these jackets. coming from the J47a it was kind of a shock getting the J25 and feeling how thin it is, but after some time with it I have nothing but positive feelings. it outclasses every windbreaker in terms of weather performance and fit. I wouldn't wear it in a downpour on purpose but if I think it will rain I just bring it and it handles 4/5 situations. also there's more reason to use the jacketsling with the J25 than any other acronym jacket I have.

give it a shot and you will come to love it. 10/10 would buy a $600 windbreaker again

  2. Overall I get the sense that there are are lots of cool independent brands doing their own thing and producing original designs, easily on par with the quality of better known labels. I don't think these brands have any desire to be on the international hype train. They don't seem to participate much in the overarching stylistic trends that the rest of the fashion industry and internationally renowned Japanese brands do. In fact I'd say the opposite is true. These independent brands seem to stake out niches and play an important role in driving forward the overall Japanese fashion ecosystem, and sometimes the shockwaves reverberate out on an international scale

I have to say though this analysis is based strongly on intuition. gonna need some backup.

  3. P10-CH has Schoeller Coldblack tech in it so it doesn't heat up that quickly. Do the other materials have this? Whenever I wear mine in direct sunlight I never get too hot. Additionally they are pretty loose in the upper half and that helps.

But they are a relatively thick fabric and that itself could make it hot. It sounds like direct sunlight isn't your real problem, it's being in a humid tropical environment...
