  1. Our bodies exist on a plane of infinite time/space-- this makes our general concept of existence a linear process as opposed to a conclusive event. That being said, where does the phenomena of death fall on this infinite plane? Yes, our bodies will continue the process of existence as they transform from flesh and bones into dust, but what of the consciousness? How can it be that something existent in this infinite plane disappears?

Or is it that consciousness is infinite on its own, within its own plane-- that would sure make Jung and other 'collective thought' people happy. Or is it merely that it is imperceptibly floating about as infra-black waves right in front of us?

Here we debate the life and times of the human soul.

  2. was hitting up a couple of 'thrift stores', found a few items I'm considering. Y/N on both, please.

couldn't find an actual image, but it's an Acne nylon parka for 40 USD

and then a vintage LL Bean down parka, fur hood, etc. TAN nylon, doe. 40 USD

  3. everything that is alive now has been alive since the beginning of life on earth. This has to be the case since to create a living thing you need a living thing, so the chain must go all the way back. as long as things keep fucking, life will be eternal.

quarks and ions gotta be some horny motherfuckers

  4. I was considering what the equation for satisfaction is, so I took a look at authors.

What I found is that there two ways a man can measure his success. He can either compare himself to himself. This state of mind is wrought with the urge for self improvement-- often into oblivion. Think Hemingway and shit, people who were so ambitious that they were never satisfied and beat the shit out of themselves to be better until they couldn't take it anymore.

And then we have the other option: you can compare yourself to those around you. Now, yeah, 'there'll always be someone better than you.' But, really, you don't know that person, and as a human you only care about what is tangible. So if you're better than your circle of friends, and that's all you know, wouldn't you be satisfied? These are the people who settle down, with little goal in life other than to sit down, have a decent looking wife, have a couple of beers and then have kids who have decent looking wives, have a couple of beers, and then have kids...

So, what is it that you want? I dunno, I think there's perks to either. So I think I'll have both.

  5. I agree, the collection isn't bad at all. It's just people are expecting fashion to be revolutionary, ignorant of the fact its recycled by nature.

Take a look at the women's collection. VASTLY better than the mens.

I don't think of Hedi-- or anyone, except maybe Christian Dior himself, maybe Yohji Yamamoto-- is a revolutionary designer. But he is a designer who has a good enough grasp on history to re-organize bits from the past into something worth looking at and wearing-- sometimes he puts the details together in ways they haven't been before, like an author with good use of language.

that being said, YSL is more about tailoring than about 'design'.

  6. ignoring people being assholes, man, you should probably look on focusing an outfit around a certain piece. keep it simple.

like, wear the coat, but throw on a grey sweater, some black pants, etc. Wear the shoes with some nude shorts and a white thermal, I dunno. Why'd you pick that color?

vintage pull over (novis), lvc, boot company.

o, and featuring the tip of my bZ's feet.

  7. im feeling the accessories.

i really like that faceless watch bracelet. anyone mind proxying me one?

if you really want it, pm me and we can work something out.

The sweater is really nice. Alpaca/wool blend. The rest of the collection is alright. They seem to have been really good about staying true to the original 'construction of the garments' (at least they appeared to be). The needle on all of the garments is spot on, which tells you it's not TYPICAL H&M shit. Yep.

  8. Temple of Jawnz for fucking life. They have a great fishtail. I don't recall the price, but seriously-- check it out.

Penfield is what I have, I really like it. If you get it on sale, even better. Just check out their site. Way more affordable than Givenchy and my following suggestions.

Junya Watanabe for Comme Des Garcons MAN

    Patrik Ervell

Wings + Horns (heritage research fishtail parka is da best)

APC (no blacks this season, but they've had tons before)
