  1. got a new pair about 6 months ago. not religious about them, i wash them about once a month. but i will say this, i wear them the most cuz i dont give a shit about $10 jeans and they hold up really well. most them fashion shits blow up in about a year or so. the last pair of rustlers i had held together for years.

  2. couple pics from work. cant really post scans but phone pics are no problem. this is from an old 1920s nitrate celluloid negative that is almost clouded beyond repair. not a great pic, just thought it was interesting that all the shoes are boots.

this on the other hand is crazy stylee. from an early aughts crumbly positive print.

  3. on second thought, id suggest just the moma and yerba buena. theyre right next to each other and pretty central to all the shopping you want to do. no sense in dragging ass all over town especially since the de young is at the opposite end from where youll be wanting to spend most your time.

  4. not being a fan of art museums, id say the de young is worth a stop because of the location. even when it was ugly and falling apart, it was right in the middle of a great park. the legion of honor is also worth a drive-by for the location as well.

for me, the only museum worth checking out is the musee mecanique. it was super awesome when it was at the cliff house, but even at the wharf, its still worth a visit. bring hella quarters.

  5. dont know where else to put this. theres no "gardening" thread, but anyways i was at the local asian market the other day and they had a bunch of plants and im pretty sure i got myself some sawtooth coriander. pretty hard to find at a market...

  6. i loved s2 of black mirror, a lot darker and vicious than s1. i especially liked the third episode. it got mixed reviews due to the script cramming in a bit too much for the runtime, but i thought it was pretty fucking plausible.

yeah, i felt like they couldve really stretched out with another half hour or so. it felt kinda rushed towards the end, but a great episode none the less. its at least twice as good as any british tv show ive seen, which makes sense why the season is half as long at 3 episodes. :(

utopia was pretty good. kinda gets a little convoluted with the story but i agree about the cinematography and the soundtrack. not sure if they killed off the mouthbreather raisin boy assassin, but hes by far one of the more interesting characters on there.

  7. i was slowly losing interest in utopia but tonites show got me juiced. kinda have mixed feelings about the uk 6 show run. on the one hand its just not enough of a fix with shows like utopia, on the other hand it beats waiting out grueling season long turds like american idols got britain or whatevers.

  8. theres always a special place in my stomach for a monte cristo. even if i know its gon be shitty like at dennys or something, i'll always give it a good long thought if i see it on a menu.

my favorite sandwich in la is prolly the house serrano ham bocadillo at la espagnola meats in the south bay.

  9. new show started in the uk called Utopia, pretty damn solid so far. nice photography too.

jessica hyde. why? the one blemish on an otherwise great show. i wish that chili and bleach dude was still around so he could rub some sand in her cooter and make her disappear. great show otherwise.

  10. found this in my folks attic. late 60s screenprinted ad for a show at ca museum of sci & industry at usc. ive been trying to find info on the actual show with no luck, sounds like it was a collaboration with local printers and the mighty KRLA (the old one when they were still had a music format and not some shitty traffic/news thing).

  11. aren't those all issues with the screenplay

sure, the person who wrote it wasnt helping at all. but think of the screenplay as a piece of music like a symphony or something. its up to the conductor or the dude covering that piece of music to interpret it, and i just think bigelow did a poor job with the sheet music and the lead guitar.
