  1. Thanks everyone.

It's really more of a small 1 bed place, rather than a house or big chunk of land but it's a good start.

It's all coming along, providing...I don't murder someone involved with the finances/legal/agency in the meantime.

I've never sent this many emails in my life.

    All good though.

An exciting weekend at work for me.

What are you people up to?

    Whatever it is, it's yours!

  2. We'll be shooting product shots for everything once all the new stuff is in.  I believe I'll also be doing a little denim roundup blog post.

That said - hope to see some fit pictures from you and Satchel in the 23 oz.

I am all over it (if everyone on superfuture couldn't already tell...). I'll most likely take some macros and detailed shots as well, like I did with the green heathers.

  3. If it means my dad would rock some LFs i'm all for zippers! that said, some unsanforized LF would be DOPE!

pumped for the 23oz this week!

I'm hoping the temperature lowers a bit, I want to wear them a bit before summer rolls around!

edit: this is shipping week for the 23oz, correct?

  4. ^start at the beginning of this thread!

It's always such a journey to start from the beginning of a thread...

    *stares fondly into the sunset*

  5. I got a pair of the Ranger 19 oz unsanforized. That's a hella tough jean. Very well built, with nice details. The fabric is interesting and surprisingly hairy as well. We'll see how the fades progress. I'll update with pics as well.

I also picked up the Spar Chambray. Very nice grey fabric... Again great details. Clearly very nicely made and the pen pocket is what made me buy it!

Only downside is... It's to slim for me. If anyone is looking for a slim XL let me know.

I'd be looking for a medium, but I've seen this shirt, it's a nice heavy chambray.

  6. You could buy a Nikon N2020 on ebay in great condition for 15$ and then get a Nikon 50mm 1.8 AF lens from keh for 69$ in lightly used condition. You could have made very similar shots with that equipment. Film photography is so easy to get into price wise, it just can add up in price if you shoot a ton.

Yeah, it's all about a nikon!

  7. I've lived in Chicago for about 3 years, but am moving back to CA. I wanted to get something remember my time here. Couldn't really think of anything else and I thought it was kinda fun. And then yeah it's a Chicago dog, so not just any ol hot dog.

    Ah, ok. It's cool regardless!

  8. I wish my friends and I actually had camera's to take pictures like that.

You can get roughly the same aesthetic from any 35mm camera. Ebay is littered with them, look for something with a 50mm 1.8 and you're set.

  9. agreed.

    she's a junior angel because she's 17. sorry boys.

I had just never considered that the chelsea would work on some girls. Unfortunately not for my girlfriend, she'd need a 26 or 27 and doesn't like high rise pants.

  10. Hahahahaha that minivan made my day. And isn't that always the problem with being the designated photographer? At the end of the day, there's a bunch of great photos of everyone having a great time but you.

Anyway, the sweats are turning out to be super interesting, there's nothing like a photo bomb to really show you what something looks like (failing actually having it)

  11. Before my time - but my guess is from when LF sold to Need Supply.  It's always cool to see an order come in from Richmond since I always thought no one had any idea about Superfuture stuff.

Since there's some camera talk going on - felt like I needed to post a picture of my camera bag from about a year ago.

I had no idea that LF had ever sold to Need! It's not so surprising, though, I remember the first time I went in there they had stacks of vintage label Momotaro, among other things I'm sure.

I'd sure like to give medium or large format a try at some point. My dad used to have a large format view camera, but claims that he lost it. I'm not sure how exactly one loses a camera so large, but I digress.

  12. Film really has that knack for revealing those beautiful details. I was shooting with a Nikon F5, 50mm 1.2 manual focus lens, and Fuji Superia Xtra 800.

oof, that is some heavy stuff! I've shot some stuff on my parent's old FM3 with a 50mm 1.8, my film favorites were tri-x and that kodak 200 stuff. Typical CVS stuff, but it's fun. I'd love to get a modern film camera if the opportunity ever presents itself.

  13. Until I get around to making the super lengthy post from the weekend, here is my favorite shot from the two rolls of film I shot.

Featuring jortslife and mfarmtown on the el. That is some PBJ level texture on those sweats. I can't stop admiring it.

Man, that really is some texture! It doesn't look that textured in the product shots.

Also, gotta love film! What film/lens/camera, etc?
