  1. John, this model is quite roomy.  If you think the 710 is great in 35, I think you would steer clear of size 36 in the 0105 completely, and really think twice about 35.  Unless of course, you're looking for a really loose fit.  The 0105 is the opposite of the "no pain, no gain" heavyweight and slim models out there.  Super comfortable!

And the denim is awesome!  Compared to Samurai 19oz, it will feel extremely light.  But it's really nice stuff.

  2. John, my opinion, but if the 710 in 35 is perfect, I honestly think you should be deciding between a 33 or 34 in the 0105, instead of between 34 or 35.  34 would be the biggest you'd want to go.  The lighter weight denim stretches too.

  3. Here is the flannel from my 1003XX.  Super soft, and a design that would make an amazing shirt (if it hasn't been used for that already.) Obviously from the pics, both of my pockets have the same material.

  4. Jeanius, I actually think a Levi's retailer at the mall can actually help lead you in the right direction between the 5000 and the 510.  I'm not really sure what would be a close approximation for the 710.  But a poor man's fit test would be to try on the 514 vs the 501 in the same size.  Which looks better to you?  And more importantly, which feels more comfortable in the rise/thigh area?

This won't be perfect, but it's better than nothing.  My humble opinion of course.

  5. Have you guys ever bought a pair of jeans that absolutely did not work for your body, but you REALLY wanted them to?  So, you sold them.  But then against all rational thought, you consistently try to convince yourself that maybe they'll work if you just give them another try.  The person in this picture or that picture more or less seems to be my size, and he's rocking these jeans at a level I dream of.

Well...this is the FC 1108 for me.  Maybe I'm too fat.  Maybe my bones are too big.  Maybe I'm the physical specimen that my wife "assures" me I am.  Whatever the reason, for me, it's like trying to put on a pair of jeggings that don't stretch.  And I think I have reached a point of acceptance.

But for those on here that post pictures, they look pretty damn sweet.  Almost an ideal fit.

  6. It would be cool to compile a Page 1 list of which models were made in which years; and key details or changes from previous releases.  Not that I have much input at all, but it would be a great resource.
