Just found these Big E 505's today in a local vintage shop really chuffed with the 34 inch waist on them BUT one problem,
PAINT!
Any ideas how this can be removed? or should they just be rocked as they are?
Opinions please!

Talking about 70's has anyone seen this Big E black Tab on eBay?
Havnt seen any of these around for ages. Black tab was Canadian to the best of my knowledge?

You will never see selvage on an orange tab, big E yes but not selvage.

I recently got this vintage Levis big E trucker jacket from the 70s.
A bit snug on me, not sure if to keep it or sell it, any opinion is appreciated!

Hey, that jacket looks familier! Glad it arrived in one piece! That was the first Big E jacket I ever found, getting all emotional seeing it on someone else now. I'd buy it back off you when you find another!! haha

Found this cool supposedly 1800's Levi's belt buckle on eBay was wondering if anyone has any info old vintage levis belt buckles, have read in the past that they are as collectable as jeans but have not really seen evidence of this.

Thanks for sharing I think they are completely legit if only the seller knew! poor guy!
Put these to about 1955-62 and defiantly have US military connections being in germany probably from a Postal Exchange store like my ones.

The last deadstock 50's pair (with leather tag mind) on the bay went for $5000!

When you have to pause Back to the Future 2 because Biff is rocking some killer selvage 1950's levis
Also when being dragged to see Water for Elephants with the Girlfriend isn't actually too bad because robert pattinson is chilling in some cinchback-belt loop combo 1922's

SFTD exactly man...I cant even remember the last time a saw a nice pair of 'every garment guaranteed' with the patch still intact,. there are hundreds of deadstock late 60's early 70's big e lying around, but this is a gem.
Levis archives is the last thing you want to do! bang them on eBay and take the Mrs on holiday!

Couldn't disagree with you guys any more...sell them and you can "wear" all the LVC jeans you could ever want!
It would be reckless/ borderline vulgar to wear and completely devalue these but they're your jeans do what you want with them...
after all I guess the purpose of vintage champagne is to be drunk.

not when you payed 100 euro for a $3000 pair of jeans...I'm sorry got to draw the line on this one.

Noooooo Please Do Not Wear Them!!!!!!
(if they are real) that is such an unbelievable find, i cannot believe that they did not go for more even the german vintage dealers should of seen that one... but something is telling me the stitching should be more yellow? and I've never seen 20 stamped on a top button.
Its interesting though..some of the best vintage levis Ive come across are from Germany, prob due to the heavy US post war activities and PX stores etc!
really really well done if they are legit,... eBay them man... let them sit untouched in a cabinet in tokyo...

Shameless plug...
Having a massive clear out will be putting lots of stuff on the bay.
But for fellow sufu members I have two late 1960's 'Big E' Type 3 Jackets to let go cheap! In a 42 and 44" chest
Please PM me if interested for details and pics

been meaning to ask, do you have a shop on ebay/etsy? I've admired a lot of your finds and wanted to check them out.
I'll third the buy vintage notion. I've never come across any deadstock jackets, but in the past 6-8 months have found close to 10 excellent jackets and pairs of jeans just hanging out on the rack at bergdorf goodwill.
Glad you like my finds! I do occasionally flog a few bits on the bay but mostly I collect whatever I can find and trust me there isnt much to be found in England!
A few months ago I found a deadstock yellow stitched Big E jacket for £40!
Its funny how cheap type 3 jackets are... compared to type 2's and big E 501's.
Any one got a theory on why that is? Its big E after all...

yeah forget the repro... you can get original ones for less than $50 on eBay or any decent vintage clothing store.
Would happily give you one of mine for $180! haha

wow nice, from the pics they look legit! V-stitch, waist band has chain stitching on bottom the copper rivets tell me they could have hidden rivets in the back pockets? did you even mention they were big E?
Do we dare ask how much they are?
