Here are some pics from my NYC trip. I didn't shoot that much scenery stuff and didn't really make it out of Soho but here are a few anyways.

  2. Aaron, with all the beers you're probably right ;)

Farhad, you will have plenty of time during the contest to put that weight back on. if you are like me, the older you get, the fatter you will get. plus, jeans constantly shrink (at least to me) with each wash. so according to me, your gut will be a size 36 and your jeans will be a size 30 by the end of the contest. :D

lildavid- Levi is a maaaaaaaaaaajor playa. coolest kid on the block fo sho

Marcus- where have you been. good to have you back.

Rare Khahi day for me, but the chambray hat hopefully qualifies. these are dockers K1 from 10 years ago. after all the beer I drank in the last 10 years, they still fit me. go figure.

Today, I got featured in Inventory Magazine's Blog for Photographing the new Self Edge LA store. Please excuse the shameless promotion.

Also, me and my brother went mountain biking the other day. Here are a few shots from our little escapade.

This is the trail that we were about to go down on. you can see some of it to the left.

As we were descending, the sun began to set and the colors were spectacular

All this area was part of the gold rush. this damn was built in the 1860s originally of clay and rebuilt later with cement and stones. I think I will have to go back there to do a denim soak some day.

  5. Christmas In A Submarine- thanks

Roy- I bought them not too loose to be honest. they had a little room in the waste, but not much. Paul helped me as he has owned them before.

I did a cold soak for 15 minutes. I usually don't hot soak my denim. they didn't shrink much in the waist. and luckily they came out good.

  6. photographed the new Self edge store that just opened in LA on La Brea.

the store looks fantastic and Kiya and his crew did a great job.

I can't post the actual pics as they are exclusive to inventory magazine's blog. However, with Kiya's permission I took some iPhone pics for all you denim heads that can't be here today to check out the store.

Enjoy the pics. I can tell you that the store smelled of pure raw Japanese denim, which is much better than the new car smell.

Cool displays every where. this one house a buch of top notch denim from all our favorite brands such as Iron Heart, Flat Head, as well as the new Mister Freedom jeans.
