  1. Had a pretty swell Labor Day even though I've been battling a weird cold-like sickness. Still feeling a little off today but I had the time to snap a few fit pics after work for you all.

My front shots were out of focus and I didn't notice until I was inside. It was super hot and humid outside and my photo assistant was getting antsy so we'll be back for more photos soon.

And lastly, here's a few out takes from this weekend, courtesy of Mapz. These were at a fantastic little pie and biscuit shop where we had breakfast on Sunday.

I know i'm echoing what everyone else is saying, but these jeans are really, really, awesome. The 02 cut is perfect - slim in the thighs and legs with a high enough rise to make me happy and to make for confident shirt tucking. The denim is a dream, already softening up but full of subtle blue hues and tons of slubby character. I'm still not sure how i'm going to cuff these guys, the inseam is just about perfect for a single cuff or a small tender-style double. We shall see!

  2. I'm also suffering an overcast day due to the hurricane remnants, so better stuff to come soon. I did a warm wash with a cold rinse and air dry overnight. The waist shrunk about 2.75 inches and the length about 3" with some impressive leg twist. Like the pics before me, there's amazing roping starting to show and the denim really came alive after the wash. The fit is perfect - slimmer than I am used to wearing recently but the higher rise is perfect for it.

boom. sorry for the difference in white balance, these are half phone half camera images. here we have the 02 cut with 01 details and a few subtle customizations. I wanted this pair to be my homage to Ooe that highlighted their precision and attention to detail. These qualities, along with the staggering amount of customization options available, makes them a true denim tailor in my eyes.

I chose ooe branded universal rivets and buttons throughout, with the addition of a crotch rivet. an offset back beltloop, hickory stripe lined back pockets, and that gorgeous red striped denim for the pocketbags round out the custom details. I went with the same size as my first 01 cut in the 32 denim and the raw fit has me really happy and anxious for a soak. let the games begin!

  4. ^having the same thoughts on if i should size up considering the extra shrinkage...borderline 33 or 34 depending...34 to be safe in the waist but then i'd be too big in the leg...i guess i should size up though since i'l be washing fairly regularly (once a week?)

I was wondering the same so I asked their opinion based on my pair in the 01 cut. They told me to stick with the same size. Their quote was "only a person of big size influences it." which I took as a polite way to say "don't worry you're not too fat". I was flattered and stuck with the size.

They did recommend the inseam be one inch longer than my first pair and I imagine this is because the legs will shrink a bit more and it's not really an area you're going to stretch out over time.

  5. To sate my desire for more denim and to keep with the thread, I'll post my details too.

02 cut with 01 details, except using the paler yellow WWII yellow thread instead of the brighter default. Universal rivets + Crotch rivet and lined rear pockets round out the details.

  6. Everything ships from 46321 via USPS Priority.

John Lofgren and Co. Red Chambray - Size Large

This shirt here: http://item.rakuten.co.jp/speedway-shop/ls-010-red/ warm soaked once, lightly ironed to get the wrinkles out. Never worn out; I bought a size too big. It's a true red chambray, unlike the Mister Freedom one that's a bit more pink. Great color.

    21.75" Chest

  7. Just dropped in my order - really excited now.

I know it's late, but I thought I'd share my measurements of my 3201XX tagged 34x35 for anyone still deciding size and cut. This is after plenty of washes and wears. I'm going for the same size in the 02 cut.

    Waist: 16.25"

    Front Rise: 11.75

    Back Rise: 16"

    Upper Thigh: 12.25"

    Thigh: 11"

    Inseam: 32"

    Leg Opening: 8.5"

  8. I tried searching the thread, but it seems to hate search strings with lots of numbers...

Can anyone please share some post wash measurements of a size 32 s0500xx? I'm torn between a 32 and 33 for the contest pair. From what I'm reading, I should be more concerned with the fit of the thighs and if I go by that rule a 32 should be good. Would feel a bit more confident if I had some measurements, though.

  9. Does anyone here have any pairs of the 0500XX in 32 already or have any experience with them? Since I still have time to fret over sizing I'm wondering if anyone might have any measurements of a washed size 32. I'm thinking I might be able to fit in a 32 if I needed... Tillman has already given me measurements of a size 33 and I know they'll fit.

I wear a 32 in Warehouse 1000xx, which isn't that similar of a cut but the pre wash measurements on BiG seem similar to the Samurais. I guess I could also ask this in the Samurai thread.

  10. I'll take more recent measurements tonight, but my pair of 3201s were tag size 34 and shrunk down to 32 and then stretched about a half inch. This was after a bunch of machine washes and regular wear after a year.

I'm thinking for also getting a 34 in my 02s, to err on the safe side but I might risk a 33.

Edit: forgot to mention that I had decided on my 34 size after emailing them with some of my current jean measurements.
