Hey Kiya- any chance you have a pair of Sugar Cane Okinawas in size 34 at SELA? I may be in the area soon, and I'd love to try on a pair.

Can anyone care to comment how to size their tshirts? They seem really really fitted.
I'm usually a 22.5 - 23 inches chest for dress shirts and SDA only has a Large in the tshirt I want. Their chest measures out to 19 inches......Just by writing this, going on Large sounds like a high risk....
Yeah, you're gonna need an XL.

Picked up a few tee shirts recently, figured I'd add them in here to go with all the lovely denim. I really like SDA tees a lot. I wish they were sized slightly bigger, but perhaps that's a good thing, as I have far too many tees already. Anyway, the first is a collab with a store where I've found several good things lately- Heath Industrial.
Next up is the 35th anniversary tee, which is very different from their usual offerings. First off, it's a tube body and they normally do side seamed tees; second, the sizing is closer to that of their long sleeve tees, which tend to run larger (better for me); and third, it's got flatlock stitched seams, which are very nice and comfortable.
And last up, one of their chainstitch embroidered tees. I just love that they aren't silkscreened, like most tees. The embroidering is just unique and cool.
Sorry the pics are so crappy, but we've had rain for the last several days, making good natural light photos hard to come by. Nonetheless, any pictures are better than nothing, right?

34" pre-shrink inseam is going to be a deal killer for many.

Crap. That means I'm behind on at least one, maybe two challenges. I'm such a shitty

I love that denim. One of my all time favorites, and although it's slow to fade, it's so damn pretty while it does.

Josh responded to your PM by e-mail. That gets sent to the mods (cause a lot of those messages get lost otherwise). It's safe to take the tinfoil hat of now...
Technically, all of those get sent to the site administrator, not the mods. So only Giles has to deal with the dozens of people per day who just respond to the email notice, despite the fact that it says this:
"IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email."
Honest mistake. I've made it several times.

I don't own these any longer, but here are a couple of shots from my 18oz Oni 211. I think about a year of wear on them at this point. I'm not very hard on my jeans, so there isn't much fading on display.
Sorry about the image quality on the pics; they don't look nearly as fuzzy in my Photobucket account. I'm not sure what's going on there.

Oh, and I still hate the arcs.

Cross post of my HWDC2 Studio D'Artisan X's-33 at the one year mark, fresh off their 6th wash.
And a couple of close ups, starting with the patch.
And the texture and character of the denim, which has really come out nicely as they've faded and all the attention grabbing neps have worn off.

Well, they are nowhere near as impressive as all the jeans posted previously, but here are my Studio D'Artisan X's-33 at the one year mark, fresh off their 6th wash.
And a couple of close ups, starting with the patch.
And the texture and character of the denim, which has really come out nicely as they've faded and all the attention grabbing neps have worn off.

I've never liked SDA's pocket arcs, but I hope the ones above are only for the anniversary edition. They're worse than the usual arcs.
I wonder if the D01-35 and the pictured tee shirt are all the company is doing for the 35th anniversary. It would be nice if they rolled out a couple of other commemorative items. Not sure what, exactly, but something additional...

It's accurate. Look at BiG's "Measurement Guide" page and make sure you're following the same system.

It's nice with the authenticy of 100% cotton threads but I'd gladly welcome the durability of polycore.
Just out of curiosity, why do you consider cotton thread more authentic? Poly thread has been widely used in jeans for the last 50+ years. I've never understood that philosophy, unless the jeans are something really old fashioned, like a model with a cinch back and suspender buttons.

OK, so I had the wrong war and the wrong part of the church, but awesome!

Many, many years ago, my aunt got married to a Naval officer who was stationed there. The ceremony was in a historic old church that was close enough to the harbor to have been shelled by the British in 1812. I remember my aunt pointing out a cannonball that was still embedded in the bell tower. Your town's got great history...

Maybe that was inaccurate; they emailed me to say that they wouldn't ship to the US. They may ship to a few other countries, though. Since you're in Canada, it might be worth emailing them to ask. Their English is a bit shaky, or perhaps auto translated, but it's better than my Japanese.
Oh, and I checked the tags- looks like the model number is 9679.

I got it from Heath Industrial, on Rakuten. They don't ship outside Japan, so I proxied through SuToCorp. I like Heath Industrial; I've bought 5-6 tee shirts from them and it's always gone smoothly. And of course, SuToCorp is well known around these parts, so no worries there, either.

Figured I'd throw something into the mix other than denim. Picked up this shirt a while back and really have started to love it. Great details and an excellent fit. Since I wear a size XL in SDA tee shirts, sizing is always a concern, when they make an XL at all.

Hey Chris! we met up at the IH/SE party in NYC, right? how ya doin?
Yep, that we did. Been a year and a half since then; time flies, huh?
Glad to see you're surviving (so far) the crazy East Coast winter.

Is Red Cloud planning to make any more of the hemp denim? These days, I'm intrigued by odd denim.

^^Asshole.
Not wrong, though...
And yes, I am named Chris and I live in Houston. I'm not very creative when picking forum names.

Yeah, it's just the way the openings are cut; way too tiny. Once you get your hand in there, the pocket bag itself is a reasonable size. Despite how much of a hassle it is to get my car keys in and out of my pockets, I'll still eventually buy another pair of Momotaros.
On a side note, the new SExIH 633S collab has pocket openings that are even worse...

Pretty sure themexican is over in San Marcos, which hasn't been a part of Mexico since 1836.
Silly Englishman.
EDIT: OK, he's in New Braunfels. Close enough...
