  1. This seems so groundbreaking and oddball to me that I really wanted to be in so bad, just off GP. Now I'm so envious, just because I really don't believe that I'd be able to pull off the sweatpants swagger, aside from being in bed. I guess I'm just a blue jeans guy at heart. Although, these look beautiful, not like the Champion and Ralph Lauren sweats I used to wear back in the 90's. If there really are 23 oz'ers coming out, that'd be like a dream come true for me, and I'll contest whoever else buys some (non-official).

Don't get me wrong, I love jeans and i'm first in line for some serious HW LFs, but if i'm gonna be chillin' in my apartment, going through the indigo duck contests last few pages, again, fadin' some sweatpants made in our dear country, by ours friends andrew and christian, i only see it as the ying to a 23oz yang. a properly faded indigo garment is 50% care and 50% disregard.

  2. a customer brought a pair of 500XX into BlackBlue for a hem. they made me nostalgic for my 610LX from 6 years ago. i can't believe i ever could stand something so low. that denim doe...

  3. it's been 32 hours since we acknowledged how dope LF is. it's time to wash and repair my Kuroki Chelseas.

6 months of daily wear. no washes. i'll post updates as they arrive.

  4. christian, out of everyone, is one of the most direct, transparent and accessible brand owners around when it comes to questions, concerns, comments and requests from customers, potential customers and stockist (or potential stockists).

just like MHE said, it's super hard to fit 100% of the people who want jeans with just two cuts. Sufu is a tremendous benefit to consumers, brands and shops because it brings everyone together with a common goal, finding jeans that meet one's needs. as we all learn from each other and adjust accordingly, people like me who have the pleasure of helping many people make happy denim purchases, can see brands grow to better serve their customers. no one has done more than christian. serious ground level, man-of-the-people stuff.

  5. ^right on MHE. KH a TTS or sized up chelsea is going to give you more room than a sized down greaser. They will all stretch but my vote is +1 or TTS on the greaser depending on your tolerance.

  6. awesome idea for a thread. pocket flashers, cotton bags (tender, Imogene and Willie,, buttons (APC) all add to the experience of buying a pair of awesome jeans. has anyone gotten any LVC stuff with a little burlap bag of stones?

All of LVC's hardcover books are great.

  7. ^great choices lance!

^^beeet, go with the chelsea! i have 3 greasers and 1 chelsea and i love them all but the chelsea, for me, is what i want/need and it sounds like you're in the same camp.

  8. Hey everyone. Wonder if anyone has every tried the 50's sportswears t's? Was curious how they fit. I am short but have big chest, shoulders and arms. Wear an extra large in all my t shirts. Was curious if it really a slim for up top or not. Thanks in advance.

you should be fine in an xl. they are super soft and stretch out as necessary. if you wanna look like a badass/wear it 50s style (see the cover of "a street car named desire) get a large to show off the bod. best tshirts ever.

  9. the sweatpant competition is for everyone! knowing you have the dopest sweatpants in your hood and competing (inter?)nationally amongst others who have their sweatpant-game on lock can only elevate anyone involved.

are you not giddy/losing sleep thinking about it??

  10. great to see you here, guthrie!

regarding the sweat pant contest, i've been in touch with christian and we're hammering out details. looks like contestants will get a great price & it seems like there's a good amount of genuine interest.  i'm pretty excited and hoping to get this going ASAP.  if you all wouldn't mind letting your sufu/other friends know about the contest, i'm thinking the more the merrier. if we get a ton of people on board, we can only imagine the prizes will be dope.

    details as they arrive.

  11. so, before we start a new thread. my friend and sufu champion, jyoni (check out his progress in the ooe yufuketen contest or his victorious LVC 1944s), have been talking about doing a LFNYC indigo sweatpants contest. probably over a couple years.

any interest amongst our growing LFNYC sufu community?
