  1. I am interested in getting a pair of Whites Oxfords. I know Morse has a pair that I have plenty of pictures of but I haven't seen any others. Does any one have a pair in regular leather or black roughout instead of distressed rough out? Also if anyone else has any other suggestions for something similar? I am looking for seething casual and comfortable to wear when I don't want to wear boots. Thanks!

  2. I agree with you -Z- as these are my new favorite pair. I love the high rise on these compared to my PBJs. I thought it would be awkward and make my crotch look huge but I feel they look more manly than a lower rise.

Its great having everyone in the contest and hearing what they like about the jeans cause I can just look down and admire my pair and check out the same things.

  3. Farhad your travelers look great! definitely something to look forward to one mine are that worn. I have worn mine for probably about three months but the leather doesn't look nearly as soft and textured as yours. How long have you had them for? Would rep if i could.

  4. um i think the one on the left took me about 3 hours and the one on the right about 4. i did the one on the left during an 8 hour car ride so that wasn't too bad. the other i did while watching tv so it was just hanging out. i definitely would look into a repair service if they totally destroyed but i believe in a little hard work goes away. i use 100% cotton and it fades with every wash so i feel it is a part of the wabi sabi that is raw denim.

  5. I have done a lot of crotch repairs on my PBJ xx005s and what i usually do is darn them. My mom taught me how to do it. Basically you start by going the longest distance over the hole and going through the edge into a good piece and then come back while staying on the top side. Should sorta look like this:

Then by continually doing this it sorta creates a layer of thread that you can then weave in and out of going the opposite direction but still picking up a little of the good piece along the edge and while staying on top. I did a quick google search and found a few videos so maybe that will help more than my half ass explanation. Here are two holes that I fixed up.

For these first two I never had to have a patch for the inside but later on other holes developed so I cut up an old t shirt and used that for an inside patch.

  6. i soaked mine for the 3rd time monday night and got them hemmed to a better length yesterday at BiG. They are seriously the best. I didn't catch their names but the woman showed me the latest Warehouse shirts then I left for about 15 minutes when I got the call that they were already finished! Super happy with the result and glad it was so easy. Here is a fit pic from today.

  7. I think those are pre LVC when capital E was first starting out. I wish I could tell you more but those were made on Valencia street because of the 555 button so definitely a nice find! Interesting rivets on them as well.

  8. yes it will be 8.5 and 9.5

tailor is now fixing the pattern.

and shiro, I plan on doing denim jacket afterward, will use nihon menpu hand dye green selvedge, 40401, Hawaii denim, check my blog artistdenim.wordpress.com I have pics of the actual denim there:)

that is from about a week ago in the artist denim thread.

  9. These are definitely the fastest fading pair I've had compared to my 660s or 005s. The stitching on my left pocket has come a little undone but nothing that requires repairing yet. The same thing happened on my other pairs but I never put anything in my front pockets. I had lots of loose warp threads all very the place when I first got them but cut em off after the first soak. The crotch area is what I'm most afraid about, and also the most pain in the ass to repair for me.

  10. Finally got to see a pair in person today at SENY. The Narrow cut is pretty slim from what I saw on dkatz and should the next jean for anybody looking for a skinny cut. My girlfriend was impressed by the ROY t-rex patch. Andrew and the gang there definitely knew all the details as I overheard him telling a customer about the shell stitching. Overall badass stuff going on at Self Edge.
