atm i´m shooting with nikon d5000.

...thinking about getting the nikon d700 (with 24-70mm 2.8G) or the canon 5d mkII (with 24-70mm 2.8L)!

...any opinions on why nikon or why canon?

Its all personal opinion, since youre Nikon, might as well stick with that format. Then again, the big game changer for both of these options youve listed is the mkII's video capability. If youre not interested in messing with that, Id stay with the Nikon counterpart.

Yeah took the pics today. Thanks brotha, I unrolled them more (after taking the pics) as Im becoming more comfortable with stacking them. Its actually making me enjoy them more too, odd but oh well.

IH 666's @ 4mos

I lost 20lbs recently, bought these a tts at the time, sz34. They've gotten a smidge big on me. Im very close to buying FH 310's soon. Not sure though. Absolutely love these things though.

Well IM curious now on the f3001.

I bought some IH 666's around 6 months ago, absolutely love them. Here in Texas though, at 18oz, its hot. Also, at the time I was a bit over weight and 34 seemed my correct size. Now, Ive dropped 20lbs and I want something a bit slimmer. I can still wear my 666's but they look not as slim or "fitted." My 666's are currently measuring at 34 in the waist:

So Im thinking of sizing down to a 32 or a 33 in the FH 3001. What do you guys think? On my 666's I can pull the waist out while wearing, a good 1-1.5inches.

afaik, RRL denim stretches out a ton @waistband.

thigh was measured from where?

knee is 8.5 while thigh= 11.5? these tells me that if you actually measure them "big style", [ie, measurement is from/@crotch], the upper thigh would be around 11.75-12.

suggestion: to avoid confusion, re-measure the waist + upper thigh "big style", so we can have more accurate size comparison.... but off the bat, i agree with jehuti, raw @W31.... w30 if you want them slim/skinny w/no "thigh issues"..

Thanks brotha. I've read up on sizing for PBJs and it seems that usual issue is that the thigh is way to tight. I'll re measure my rrl's. BUT I will say, that sizing is for the one wash, and my rrl's are the one wash black.

waist 32 on what brand? ... & which size chart are you looking at?

eg, w32 on 005/007 raw = w31 on 011 raw__ to start with.

but, you can go sd2 @w30 if your built is on the slim/skinny side.

btw, these are unisex cut & [afaik] women prefer the getgo fit of the o/w version due to the shrunken waistband. they don't need to estimate on shrinkage.

Well my best fitting jeans right now are my slim fit RRL black selvedge in a sz 32, here's its sizing chart:

But I realize the PBJs are un sanforised but not sure what kind of shrinkage I'm going to expect, and what the end result size would be. For reference, I'm looking at the xx-011

So I'm a bit confused on sizing, have read a big but still.. I remain confused. I wear a size 32 waist, and am looking at the xx-011, so will the tagged 32 shrink down to 33-34, cause actual size is a 35?

question for you leather heads: bought a tan tanner goods belt mooonths ago, at a sz 36. i've lost a lot of weight and i've made holes in it, but now the tongue is to long. what's the best way of shortening it? simply cutting it? should i treat the ends of it with something?

I love my RRL's. After a mishap with 3sixteen, I returned them and decided to splurge on the RRL slim black selvedge. I downsized to a 32, coming from a 33-34. I was a little turned off being that they are a one-wash denim, but said fuck it and went with them.
