Fuuccccckk, They didnt offer that Tour CD when I saw him with Caribou.

This is one of my recent favorites, but you have to see it large.

Soo.. I just got back from Austin,TX this morning at 5am, I live in Dallas which is 3.5 hrs away. The drive was definitely worth it, to go see Caribou and Toro y Moi.

Toro y Moi was absolutley awesome, totally worth it to see him with a 3-man band setup. It sounded much more closely to the album, but even better. When Chaz played "Minors," that bass line hit and everyone just broke out. It was great.

Caribou took forever to setup, but they came in with a bang. Starting with drum solos and following synthz, I was mezmorized by sound. They started the song line-up with "Leave House".. damn amazing. Filling in with instrumental solos, they eventually played Odessa, fuck, amazing again.

Anyways, great time and good music.

Anybody check out the new Future Islands LP - In Evening Air? Upon first listen, it seemed a little gimmicky to me. But, their new wave/synth pop sound has definitely grown on me since the 1st listen. It keeps reminding me of a summer road trip down a road that never ends...

This is really a great improvement in the whole "Small Business" Denim world. I really enjoy his personal touches to every pair made, he really develops a relationship with the customer and the denim he is sending them. Im gonna try and grab a pair here soon, but Im gonna plus one on the waist and on the inseam as I usually cuff my jeans.

Sounds very funny, but I really think we should all get together and create a superblog.. where we will all post and contribute. I feel the group of people that post regularly in this thread really have something worth while.

Well me and a friend from here, Dallas, TX, are heading up to NYC to do some street shooting and what not in June 16-22nd, trying to get some locals over there together and walk around and shoot.

Hmm well 5D is more tempting day-by-day. I may make the switch before my trip to NYC. Any of you live near NYC?

Rob, why the D700? Im always questioning the switch (Nikon to Canon). Just feel, at wide open, canon lenses succeed.
