lots of great late 40s/early 50s Levi's on this particular page on marvin's-jp.com. I think it came up in the warehouse thread somewhere.

looks like a great and fitting update to me!

I finally bought my first pair of fc. Thank you guys for your input!
I usually am all crazy about LVC, but lately learned to appreciate japanese manufacturers. I don't know why exactly but when I look at pictures of fc jeans at various stages, I always have the feeling that they are indeed "old" jeans and not repros.
How many inseam shrinkage do I expect? If hemmed to 34 inches, will it shrink to 32?

Thank you, sir! looking forward to see some pictures of yours in the future.

Having owned a similar type of LVC from the 09 season (i think), a rough rinse model, I would also say that raw models are more fun (and maybe more authentic) to fade.

I read through fullcount threads on this board and others but I am a bit confused. I guess one can not take the one wash measurements as an example of how the raw version turns out after normal machine washing?
So, to be exact, will a 1108 in size 36 (raw) shrink and (fast and easily) stretch to tagged size? Or will it stay below/above tagged size. They measure 36,8" in the one wash version.
I pretty much look for a fit like PaulT's. That is really nice! Not too tight in the top block. I hope he doesn't mind quoting his picture...
I actually read flash's advice. But as I said, I am a bit confused regarding other's opinions.
"fullcounts shrink to tag size but stretch a lot so it is advisable to size down 1 from your true waist".

Afaik, LVC is (beside Roy Slaper) the only client that uses unsanforized Cone denim. Of course you are right though. Lots of brands use Cone's white oak denim, but they are all sanforized.

This is one of the coolest threads on SuFu at the moment. Maybe I try and find a fit 132 unborn wide. After shrinking and stretching out with wear I would need a waist measuring a bit over 35 inches. Am I correct in assuming, that a size 5 (36) will do the job?
Thanks a lot!

short question: how much shrinkage to expect from the 9 oz. denim of the 1922 501? Does anyone already own one of them?

I have to say I really like the SS13 catalogue. Looks like the brand is quite healthy and up and running. I hope, at least. I really don't want to see it die because I want the chance to buy a LVC STF in the future. After all, they - in contrast to lots of other companies - have a great spectrum, different lengths and they're Levi's. I see there are many complaints about sizing, but for me it is just as complicated with other brands. Without this platform I guess I would be lost, too. Just my 2 cents...

So the 78 model is back.
They say it fades quicker as they use sulfur. The arcuates look a bit pointy, don't they? In earlier runs the 78 hat a shallower arcuate or is this just what I thought.

cultizm.com updated pics of some raw models. The 47 looks very nice to me. Also a nice fit with the pantaloons. I do not get money for posting this but as there is not much talk about LVC itself I thought I'd share my thoughts

Should we be pleased with that? I wear my 55s from spring '11 a lot and love the denim.

started to wear the loons today...forgot how nice they are. if one sizes them properly the cut is not too experimental. hopefully they get some wear this summer...pics to come

nice project started on denimhunters: 5 pairs of LVC involved (44-66). I guess it is a kind of guide for people who wanna buy their first LVC in the future.

thought so too... what's the reason? too many new brands?

Where to get RT outside the States (Europe in my case)? I recently saw their 6oz denim trouser but can't find it in any shop outside the US..thx!

What's the waist in size 34?

I guess some people would get excited over a classic 47 with the right kind of denim (i think we discussed the changes of quality in the lvc thread 2 or 3 weeks ago) and correct details (back pocket shape, arcuates)..or is it just me?

This seller came up on db sometime in 2012. He now has a triple pleated denim jacket for little money I think

moving on to some real content: I noticed that lvc changend beltloops on the 47. ss13 models (as models from fw'12 possibly) have narrow loops versus the wide flat ones i find on a pair I own from 2009. Is there historical reference for that change? I always liked the wide loops and actually feared that the smaller ones make it to the raw version. they had them on their rough rinse models from the start.
These still have 'wide' beltloops:
