  1. yes, absolutely. as long as i can get them, i don't care if they don't have a big community in the us or anywhere...

i have the feeling that the levis cutsomer service doesn't read the mail they get very attentively

  2. so levis really should listen to their customers-maybe they would see that they are making mistakes. this happens so often. you think of a company 'well, can't they see what's wrong' I mean, most times, they are not stupid and know what theuy're doing.... (like the discussion if the iPhone should have a real keyboard ;) ) it's my first selvage jeans and so I searched the web for lets say 2-3 weeks and found out there's a community of people being addicted to the stuff. it's ike sneakers or just so many things. what really got my attention on those '47 that I own 2 pairs of (is this correct english), is the cut. I mean those modern 501 aren't what I was looking for (cut and the style...). But I guess it's gonna be interesting the next months/years...

  3. yes, would be interesting. though the lvc line could be advertised like nothing else. it's like coke, only premium. like levis says on their website: the spirit and heart of the products nowadays. shure, thats pure marketing but I think (I am not an expert) they could make more out of this. as s.o. said. some might not even know that there's sth. like LVC

  4. So..I just did my very first soak! my 1947 went from 34/32 to about 31 1/2 / 30. Just Perfect!

Edit: Will there be more shrinkage over the next washes? because I am going to wash those let's say every 2-4 weeks. i don't want them to have those huge contrasts as others have.

  5. Again a newb question:

What's the difference between a soak and a wash? Soaking menas shrinking? @airfrog: How often did you wash the soakes jenas?

What's the best way to soak? Sit in the tub for 2 hours an then get out and wear your jenas?

  6. Newb question:

All those vintage jeans have this dark indigo as there was no bleeching or sth in the factory. My question : Until 1983 (last year the jeans were made from the vintage selvage with redline etc...?), was this dark indigo the only colorway that was available for the buyers ( would be logical). ?

  7. OK, thanks. I though have one question. Why are e.g. the 1947s at cultizm pricier than at the Levi's online Store. There, the 1947s cost 150 bugs. Or is there a difference between those?

I once bought a 1947 vintage 501 with big E and redline for 90 GB Pounds. Maybe 120 USD.

Why should Levi's discontinue them? This would be very..well...I don't know^^

  8. I am new to this forum and to Levis LVC.

I have a question about the general availabilty of Levis LVCs directly from (online-) stors. Will Levis maybe discontinue the LVS line?

Because I am relly in love with my 1947 501s and I'd like to have a chance to buy them in the future.

    Thanks very much!
