  1. Bradl,

You could hot soak them with some wood in the waistband to stop them shrinking or wear them in the bath - they won't shrink smaller than your waist while you have them on! After the soak you can pull the waist for extra stretch too.

  2. I have a grey m old style buzz for sale, worn less than 10 times and washed twice, good condition. I also have a brand new unworn blue in a m for sale. Let me know if you're interested.

  3. That's The Wakefield Hotel in Cuba Street, Wellington.

Otherchrislewis - great updates! I spent 5 months in Wellington last year and looking at those pictures makes me feel almost homesick. I hope to get back there some day.

  4. Chaps,

When I jokingly mentioned in an earlier post that you should use Blue in Green's measurements, I didn't actually mean it! I've just looked at your Studio D'artisan products and there's some uncanny similarities with BiG in terms of product descriptions. Let's see a bit of originality here and avoid a repeat of the past week.

    Good luck with the venture!

  5. Yeah, a usability problem... Or the fact that I am lying on my back and using my thumbs...

Oh yeah, unorthodox!... and what does that have to do with denim? :)

Edit: repped slab (correctly) for you

  6. Ande,

I know you're still getting back on your feet right now but do you have any plans to work with naturally dyed indigo in the future? I'd like to get some natural indigos at some stage (no rush though) and would hold out for a pair in your buffalo cut.

    Cheers

  7. I wasn't referring to Oni or Kamikaze.

What i was referring to was this (copy, spec list, and size charts are identical):

Relax Kiya, at least they didn't copy the price. T&Y's seems to be slightly lower...

  8. I say we kick those Quaker kids our of their school and take back the Valencia St. factory!!!

Just install some old sewing machines in that school and teach those kids to make jeans. I'm sure they'll benefit more from the vocational training than religious education. Oh hang on, they're just children, I'm sure Levi's wouldn't want to exploit cheap labour or break any employment legislation...

  9. The use of Self Edge's copy is not good practice, I doubt it's malicious, just cutting corners at a busy period, as another poster said. I'm not sure how the size chart similarities are bad though - why couldn't T&Y's measurements be the same as SE? Wouldn't that be expected?

However, Kiya's reaction, although partially justified, does him no justice either and is likely driven by the perceived loss of business to a competitor.

Hint to T&Y - if you're after jeans sizing charts, I find that BiG are much more accurate than SE!
