no problem I am fine with 30. I'll take my time comparing measurements of Wh1001 and FC0105 over some of my favourite pairs and make a decision. thanks guys.
with a 36 inches waist I assume I'll be fine with a 35 FC0105 and a 36 WH1001, is it right?
Will compare how close my 0105 and 1001 are, they're both 36. From mid thigh down, the 0105 is definitely wider, but above that I think they're pretty close. You (and I), could probably both wear a 35 in the 0105, but neither of us would want a 34 1001.

I can also echo this sentiment about the FC denim. But I also think that the Warehouse banner denim on the 1001 breathes very well too!
Yep, either will be fine in warmer climates. Not sure how much inseam length you'd want volvo, but beware the 1001 is going to shrink down to a 31 to 31.5" inseam.

Yeah, the current 1000 (1000XX) uses the same denim as the 660, 700, 800, 1003SXX.

So my 800's OW came today!! But... I'm not sure on the fit. I was kind of surprised to see my size 36's had a waist under 34" when I first tried them on... And I didn't expect the thigh to be so slim. What do you guys think? I don't think this is the right warehouse cut for me, would a 1101 be a better fit? The denim is really nicer though!
From your picture, I can't imagine wanting them to fit any bigger. Other than length, they look good to go.

1003sxx and Montgomery Ward jeans are all 20th anniversary models, with special boxing they're shipped in.

Very nice. Tough not to get good results with the 1000XX denim.

LHT version of the 1001 denim? That will be interesting.

Great fit! How do you like the 1001 denim Flash? You might want a second wash (I assume you just did one). They'll soften up, and I lost a half inch of inseam on the second wash with my 1001 (they're currently at 31.5", tagged 32). I got a feeling they're going to lose another half inch with the next wash (hoping to put off until September) and then they'll be done.

They are 501s, look at the coin pocket size and direction of leg twist. I have Paul's fine book at home and I'm sure it states they're Levi's.
Yep, Levis and I would guess late 50s or early 60s.

Very nice work on those '33s. After my experience with most of the LVC models, the '33 is one of the few I'd buy again.

Some nice pictures of the vintage pair of S501XX Warehouse is copying with the new 1003SXX.

I haven't heard anything more about it other than they're working on it. If you have a link to more info, please PM. I'd like to go.

Navajo jewelry or a new pair of Warehouse, which is it gonna be?
I'm sitting tight to see if they do anything special with a 1001ZXX or 1000XX.

What's up with the DWC website? Chrome saying it's not safe.

Thanks for the tip volvo, you are the TCB guru after all!
I am fairly tall, 6'3" so I'd probably want a somewhat long jacket for a type II (maybe around 27" on the 46).
I want a 507 style jacket too (not holding my breath with Sugar Cane). Comparing the measurements for the size 40 in the pdf Holio shared, these jacket are VERY long in the sleeve and body. The size 40 TCB jacket is longer than my LVC XL (size 48) 506XX in both the body and sleeve.
Have you tried contacting him to see if he'd make a bigger jacket and what the price and wait would be?

For reference as to the shape of a late 60s 505, Sugar Cane makes a nice reproduction (though the pockets seem a little tall).

All i want is a real ww2 cut i mean just like the real thing with wh fabric
Then get the new 1003SXX when it hits in August. Assuming its the same cut as mine from spring 2014, it's close enough to the real thing. You think you want a wider leg (though IMO, the WH jean captures the 40s shape well enough), go with the Buzz Rickson WWII 501 copy.

Yeah, you could find all kinds of rivet, button, and pocket material combos during the war.

I learned a new word today. Glad we can keep ya entertained!

^agreed.
S-town, not sure why they're using the S on this model of 1003. Maybe to differentiate it from the HBT pocketed, immediate post war 1003XX that just came out?

I see Warehouse has added a 1003SXX to their website. These are your 20th Anniv models, (1003XX, 1101XX, 1003SXX), a parade of nice jeans (and I'm sure more to come), but none tagged as 20th Annvi.

I'd call the old 1001XX from a couple years ago early 50s, and the current 1001 late 50s (that's speaking in pretty general terms).
My 1003XX is one of three models they made last winter and spring. All the same cut, but with different pocket bag and button combinations. Mine is the flannel pockets with donut buttons version.

The 1003XX from 2014 (the model I have), is nearly identical to the 1000(1000XX) in all measurements. Not surprising since they're both takes on a 40s 501 (and WWII and late 40s 501s are different in details, but not so much in shape).

Chyllien, Doogan, or anyone else who owns or has experience with the different cuts:
No jean fits me as well in the top block as my 1000xx, not even close, but the lower leg is too wide for my liking. Since I more or less fill out the thighs, it looks like an extreme bootcut or even a light flare below the knee.
I have checked and compared measurements on BiG and WH sites, and it looks like both the 1001 and the 800 are a bit lower in the rise and tighter in the hip and thigh area. Is that right? However, I have a feeling that the 1101 might fit the bill. What do you think? Same size as 1000xx or one up? I believe someone reported a lot of shrinkage.
Thanks!
I have the 1003XX (same cut as 1000XX) and 1001 in the same size. Depends on how the thighs fit on your 1000XX. If they're as tight as you say, you'd have to size up for the 1001.

Good fit. Jealous of the guys who can wear MIJ denim jackets!
