  1. So yeah, turns out my bike is of course JIS. As luck would have it though, the headset I ordered (seller indicated it had a 27.0mm ID crown race) is ISO (as indicated by the 26.4 inscribed on the underside of the crown race). Looks like i'm going to have to have my fork milled (seller is getting a poor rating).

On the bright side, I now know that I was right in ordering a JIS BB.

    Ayo, Mexicans love these!

herr's salt and pepper chips are the best chips ever made.

Hmm... maybe. Ketchup and Old Bay are also quite good (y'all know 'bout OB, right?).

Take the factory tour, hot potato chips fresh off the line are fucking delicious!

  3. I must say, I didn't think i'd like clips, but boy was I mistaken! Can't compare them to clipless though as I don't have shoes on which to mount cleats. They definitely help with hills and even though hills suck on a SS, i'm rather glad I didn't set my bike up with gears.

For cheap track pedals, wellgo or MKS? If a bike has a JIS bottom bracket, the headset ought to be JIS too, right?

    Thanks in advance!

  4. guess I would describe myself as open-minded and welcoming, since some of my fits fall into different categories

I'm in the same camp. I like to have a fluid style, and while I do appreciate androgyny, i'd rather it not be effeminate. I have a rather eclectic mix of pieces that toe the polar opposites of workwear and goth-ninja.

  5. i'm kind of excited as well actually. going to a different community college and i hear the parking is really really really bad. i'm sure the novelty will wear off very quickly though.

I'm really glad I decided to change schools (started today, changed my mind Wednesday). I'm in the same boat, going to a CC with terrible parking (not to mention it took over ten minutes to get off at the exit). I'm transferring for the spring semester so i'll be even closer to the friends that I would have missed. I'll probably end up with half the debt and one or two semesters sooner than had I gone with my original school. I've traded being somewhat close to NYC for the Philly 'burbs, so overall, not too shabby.
