    SExIH03

    In queue:

    SExIH07BK (considering selling..)

    IH 301s-07BK

    Retired:

    SExDBxS09

Even Steven Blue Dry Denim (Do they even make these anymore?)

Levi 501's...Not even sure where these are...I might have turned them into shorts hah.

  2. Some of these are done extremely well. My theory on the whole subject is that you have companies like apple and google (to name a few key players) who outsource their production to places like china. What ends up happening, whether it be through illegal means, the transfer of knowledge, exchange of workers, or some other magical force, they end up building "clones" so to speak.

We all know about these "cheap" made in china knock offs, not just in regards to electronics, but in general. However, in recent years the quality of the fakes have been increasing at an alarming rate. There are plenty of fake tablets, ipod clones, MacBooks, designer clothes, and even name brand instruments, which all work quite well. In some cases they work just as well as the original.

None of this is really what you were talking about though...sorry..

I've had the chance to use a few of these droid tablets (I'm not too sure on the specific models), but in general they perform very well and you do get a great bang for your buck.

Don't want to read that shit? Summary? It's wroth it.

  3. @ Scais, I'd recommend looking on the list for one that might sound appealing to you. I've tried penhaligons before, but it's far from my favorite.

Just order a couple samples and see what you think. Good luck on your quest.

I dig the Varvatos, but tons of cats are wearin' it these days. If you can afford it I'd recommend looking for something a little rarer..something to make your "signature sent".

  5. Hey guys! Welcome to my cologne topic. This is meant as both a novice and enthusiast's guide to finding the most suiting and attractive personal fragrances one can. The gist of the topic is pretty simple: I'll provide a guide for choosing the right cologne, good resources for obtaining samples and retail bottles, and a list of popular, niche, and shitty fragrances so that beginner's can get a feel for options to try, while those more experienced with cologne can try out new, more exclusive, scents.

    ***CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLOGNE***

When choosing a cologne that is right for you, the most important factor is that you like it. That may seem obvious at first, but perfume is far more complex that a single spray will reveal. All perfumes & cologne are composed of a harmony of notes, separated into three "generations": The top notes will be the smell that comes from the initial burst of fragrance. These are volatile notes and will generally die off within the first 30-60 minutes. Following this are the middle notes which make up the heart of the fragrance. These will generally last a couple hours at the most before they give way to the illustrious base notes. These notes are what ground the fragrance and, while more subtle, will live out the remainder of the olfactory experience. Because of the intricacy of each and every fragrance, you have to be patient and allow the scents to come to fruition. Only then will you know if a cologne is right for you.

Another factor you must consider is your own skin's effect on the smell and longevity of a cologne. Oily skin can interfere with what a fragrance is trying to do and, in some cases, produce a very unpleasant aroma as a result. If you have oily skin, don't fret. You will be more than able to find a cologne that works with your chemistry. On the other hand, if your skin is too dry the longevity of a fragrance can be cut drastically. In a case like that, you may consider a more intense/extreme version of a cologne that is made to last longer.

One last thing to note is that because of these factors you should not rely on scent strips to indicate what a cologne will smell like. Always ALWAYS test out a fragrance first, and very rarely should you ever blind buy one. This brings us to the next section...

    ***WHERE TO BUY SAMPLES/BOTTLES***

Since there is rarely a time where you shouldn't have to sample a cologne before purchase, there are few great options for obtaining samples.

    1) Retail/department stores: Most retail stores will have samples or be able to make samples for you to try. Some places, like certain department stores, will only allow you to try a cologne on. This kind of limits you to being able to sample only one. Sephora, Nordstrom's, and other specialized places should be able to provide you with samples to take home and try at your leisure. Call around and when you find a place that will hook you up, go raid that shit. This is the easiest and cheapest way to get samples.

    2) If you aren't able to sample a certain cologne that you'd like, the two best fall-back options are either eBay or The Perfumed Court. TPC specializes in providing nothing but perfume samples, so should be able to find whatever it is you're looking for.

    3) Lastly, and this is more of a perfume buff thing, you could check out forums like http://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewforum.php?id=2 & http://www.basenotes.net/forums/29-Items-for-Swap and see if anybody will hook you up.

As for purchasing full bottles of cologne, I'd recommend any of these:

    1) eBay (Only use trusted sellers, as there are a lot of fakes being sold)

    2) Amazon

    3) Fragrance.net

If you can't find a cologne amongst these websites then you may have to go right to the source and spend a little more green. This brings us to the final section...

    ***THE LIST***

Here is a far-from-complete list of some awesome and not-so-awesome colognes to look into. The only real difference between God Tier and Swagger Tier is the price and rarity. If you want something that very few other people will have and, in some cases, screams class, then consider any of these. As for the Swagger Tier, it's hard to go wrong with any of these, and none of them should run over $100 for a 3.4 oz bottle. Everything below that is pretty self explanatory. My main goal here, if anything, is to provide you with a wide array of perfume houses to choose from and, subsequently, some of the best scents they have to offer. Don't let this list stop you from exploring other options. Most importantly, have fun and godspeed!

Really? I thought it was because they're afraid of getting stalked, raped, and killed

Speaking of which, if you're doing superswap....I may or may not have your address... ;)

    wait....someone has mine too...

  7. @gfunkdocta - Did you really have to set that shit on autoplay??

@ke1 - Dope, unfortunately neither of them ring a bell. I'm familiar with a few Gomez', but none of them are named Damien.

After high school I stopped competing. Not by choice, but I went to Jr. College to save my parents money...I probably could have gotten into a midtier school on a wrestling scholarship, but that wasn't my goal really. I was planning to compete in FILA etc, but I messed up my knee, so we'll see where that'll leave me a few months from now.

Either way, it's dope that there are other wrestlers on sufu.

  8. sNwHl.jpg

    Must Have. Details?

This is my new favorite thread.

I got a Dry Bones jacket a few months ago with furry leopard print accents all over the outside, people hella stare.

Sounds dope, any chance it'll hit the self edge store? ;)

  9. I believe it was the Clayton Valley Invitational in 09/10? In Cali. It was a weak tourney to be honest lol. I wrestled for Mission..we have the MSJ Invitational every year, it's a pretty highly ranked tournament in the state. I have to say my favorite Cali tournament though is the Tim Brown Memorial, sponsored by Asics in Sacramento.

ke1, where / when did you wrestle?

    Sufu wrestling meeting up lol.

As for Robles, I think he has the body of almost a 180lber not a 150lber....and I definitely noticed that leg thing my senior year, but it's mostly amongst lighter to middle weights. I used to do it sometimes, but it wasn't really my favorite technique..

You're right I'm not even sure if he has any disadvantages when he's this far in the game, but you have to imagine starting out it took some strong mental reservation as most people probably assumed he couldn't achieve much in a sport like that with one leg (although ironically it's one of the few sports that somebody with one leg could potentially excel at) There's been some other great wrestlers with disabilities too (we all know the blind disney wrestler  ) and there was a great special I saw awhile back on a kid with no limbs who still made it to the state tournament and won a few matches I believe.

  10. c5W4RZq1NRg

Oh, anybody have any thoughts on Robles winning the NCAA championships?

For those of you that don't know, a one legged wrestler one the NCAA championship for his weight division. Even if you're not into wrestling, try giving it a watch. It's interesting and a great example of how mind of matter can go a long way.
  11. Mr. Fucking Perfect rocked a singlet

I'm tempted to neg, but I know it's just a joke.

I'm hijacking this thread for REAL wrestling.

Ahh...back in the good ol' days.

    3/4th after a sprawl? I think..lol

    10HSCV1628.jpg

    I won the tourney..

    10HSCV1641.jpg

Anybody else have some shots of themselves? After I'm done getting physical therapy on my knee (torn meniscus) I think I'm gonna get back into it.
