  3. Having a hard time searching for previous comments on this thread. But I was wondering how the TCB 50s cut compare to the Sugar Cane 1947 cut. I'm looking to reorder a size 34 in my 1947s but maybe thinking of going with TCB this time around.

  4. Could anyone recommend which size to go with on Fullcount 0105XX? I'm a size 34 in Sugar Cane, Sugar Canes waist are a bit small in measurements. But also looks like Fullcount 0105XX might be, going off Okayama Denim's measurements.

  5. Apologies if this is a repeat question, but do the 1947 black version fit the same as the 1947 indigo version? I was going to get another pair of 47s from Japan and might as well get a black version too.

  6. Can anyone help me in picking a size of TCB 50s or 40s? I'd like something exactly like my Sugar Cane 1947s in Size 33 (waist def measure smaller).

  7. New pair of 1947s to break in. Sized up one in the waist for a bit of a comfy fit. Picked them up on my first visit to Japan. Was pretty incredible to see all the denim up close and personal after like 15 years of shopping them online.

  9. Sugar Cane Okinawa size 31 x 24

Selling my pair of lightly worn Sugar Cane Okinawa in size 31. They have no rips or holes in them and are just now starting to show a beautiful shade of ocean blue in some areas. For anyone who's not had the pleasure of seeing the sugar cane okinawa/hawaii 50% sugar cane 50% cotton, I'd explain it as being one of the best denim made. It's extremely soft, yet thick and durable at the same time, has an amazing weft to it and gives excellent fades. Please check the measurements and let me know if you have any additional questions. Waist - 30.5 Front Rise -11.5 Thigh - 12" Knee - 8.75" Leg Opening - 8" Inseam - 34". Email contact is best way to get ahold of me.

  10. ^ respect for the volvo fellows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    my 1993 volvo 240 has recently surpassed 500k km's. post a pic!

I kinda remember my first pair to be stretching quite a bit, while my second pair seems to be more stable. but the answer may as well be that in between the two pairs I've become fatter!

there's some stretch anyway, but deffo not loads of it. What I recall is that both my 36 pairs are 35.5 waist after shrink and stretch to 36 bang on. I can stretch them a bit more than that if needed but not loads. My suggestion is size TTS with TCB anyway, if you want to get the fit the maker had in his mind.

If you like slim comforming jeans then TCB may not make you happy, despite they're happy jeans!

Thanks for the info! I like comfortable pants now, no more superfuture size down -3. I'm getting old. Here's my wagon. I enjoy learning wrenching on it, so it's a bit spoiled. I hope to get many years out of it. I recently did the trailing arm bushing replacement and as a beginner that job will continue to haunt me. Oh and compressing the springs to put in Kaplhenke strutt mounts was stressful.

  11. volvo240thebest - do I need to account for any shrink / stretch over time with the 60s denim? Or just buy the size that has the best measurements for me new. BTW, I like your name, I'm in the middle of a road trip in my '90 240 wagon with 300k on the clock.

  12. Do the merino T shirts shrink or stretch over time? I'm like slap between the Medium or Large. Went with a Medium since it's sort a knit and fits best slim but if it shrinks I'm boned.

  13. While not quite tech wear, Apolis global has an insulated shirt that I am very fond of. I copped in Olive size MD and I have a 42" chest for reference. XL would fit you fine. 24" chest and 32" length. It is also Primaloft insulated. For reference tho, Primaloft is just a brand of insulation. Arc'teryx uses Coreloft which is just as warm. Same with a lot of other brands.

Thank you. I'm a big fan of Apolis stuff. I have a lot of their outterwear. Their stuff is really minimal and fits into a techwear type wardrobe pretty easily. I'll check out that insulated shirt.

  14. I like Isaora, not feeling their shackets for this season though. They have double chest pockets and I just prefer the plain no pocket look, they do have a plain one but it's in whiter.. I was looking at Norse Projects but I'd rather have made in USA.
