  1. If I'm finding my size 36 50s a bit snug in the waist would a 38 late 40s do me well? Or should I stick with 36? Thanks!
  2. What are the good 17oz wide fit jean options now adays (50s / 40s cut), looking for a winter weight denim. I'll be in Japan in a few weeks and was hoping to pick up then. Love my TCBs but they are a bit too light for winter.
  3. I'm curious about the small waist on TCB jeans, like the 50s jeans. Is this a vintage detail or something adopted to fit the body type of the Japanese market?
  4. How should I size the 505? I'm a true 34 waist and I've sized up 36 on their 50s cut. The waist of the 50s cut fits, but I'd probably like another inch so I can sag them a bit more. I'm correct to assume the 505 will have a larger thigh than the 50s, just referencing how the Levis are. Thanks!
  5. Really sad to read about the passing of Ande. I remember looking at his jeans and the fits here such a long time ago. Never bought a pair because of the price, but the pocket details were always so beautiful looking. Funny enough I moved from US to NZ a few years ago, I swing by thrift stores from time to time and there's a fun shop here that pulls items from the trash and resells. Recently found a pair of beautiful black faded Ande jeans which I've given to a friend.
  6. I picked up a pair of these 1947 Black Hard Wash in Japan and my usual 1947 size, but they are bigger in the fit which as been a pleasent surprise because they are so comfortable and all I want to wear right now. Really makes me think I should give some of these more anti fit pants a try.
  7. Since we are on that subject, any online stores in Japan ship worldwide tax free? Possibly RMC stuff. I was just in Japan and didn't get a chance to visit RMC and pickup some things.
  8. Anyone know how the leather patch on the 714 is treated? Wondering if I should use an Anilin leather treatment or my Bick 4.
  9. Don't resist. I timed it perfectly and happened to be at Hinoya in Tokyo when they got their restock. Quickly bought a pair and been wearing them since. What a classic model! I also picked up the overwashed black 1947, great jean for the weekend.
