I'm really excited about a comfort-fit CH pant as well, but there was a typo in that vid. The 'J27-E' is actually a J29B-WS (store page link that was cached if anyone wants a sneak peek). I'm thinking there's a chance P15-CH is a typo as well.

right, i saw that as well. i'm just assuming the P15-CH wasn't a typo due to different drawcord color and just the way the fabric looks (i've been under the impression that epic is more rigid than the CH softshell fabric, which looks much more fluid and drapey). of course, i could be wrong. either way, i'll be *hoping* for a P15-CH announcement in a few weeks.

So what do we think of WindStopper Active Shell (WS) as a next-to-skin textile? I know that the LA3-WS isn't necessarily worn next-to-skin, but it is a shirt. 

 

Also, what do people think of the new P14 and P15 designs? I was leaning towards the P14-CH, but it's a similar style to the P9/P11, so I might actually get the P15-CH for variety.

 

Assuming there is a P15-CH. The video mentions both 14 and 15 as being CH, but the store them in S. Typo or two products?

 

 

erlsn's twitter mentions this is "[1st Drop]" so i'm sure the different fabrics + extra pieces will come later. there are many products in the vid that aren't in this drop, p15-CH being the piece i'm most anticipating. really into the tonal drawcord and fabric choice. looks so comfortable.

In other news, I bought a fidlock buckle unit to use with my 3A-WK2, so I can attach other objects to the same docking point. Unfortunately, it seems that the polarity of the magnet in my new fidlock is the opposite of the polarity in the acrnm one, so they won't connect to each other (you can force them together, but it's very difficult). 

 

Does anyone know anything about this? Did fidlock reverse their polarity at some point, or is it just random for each unit? 

 

 

i believe fidlock did reverse polarity sometime between mid 2011 and early 2012. i had a 3a-wk2 from 2011 that i discovered wasn't compatible with the complementary pieces from a 2012 3a-wk2. my working hypothesis is that the newer ("reversed" polarity) fidlocks are blank/unbranded, while the older fidlocks had the "Fidlock" patented logo on them.

 

is your 3a-wk2 an older one? if so, you could look to trade with people that use them solely as keychains or just buy a new one. i traded my old 3a-wk2 for vampyrvargfesten's new 3a-wk2 so that he could use the keyring end with the suspensor harness in the s-j14, which also uses the old fidlock magnets. all of the 3a-wk2s i've seen since 2012 (probably ~3/4) have shared the same polarity pairing, so i'm thinking this has only changed once in the past few years. of course this could be just by chance, so if anyone has more info or if i'm wrong, feel free to correct.

wasn't the 3a-12ts an online exclusive? you probably can't find any at authorized dealers, definitely not unauthorized (if any exist).  you'd be best off just constantly checking yahoo! jp, ebay, and sufu or other forums.

 

realistically if you missed out it's gonna be hard to find one as this bag is pretty hot right now. don't mean to be snappy, but posting on every page in every acronym thread is just gonna clutter things and get kinda annoying.

 

the regular posters in this thread will probably continue posting great deals on acronym products found on ebay and the like, just check back and relax a little in the meantime
