^it was alright. the Life of Leisure EP he dropped before it was infinitely better.
that being said, Belong is one of his best tracks and its only found on high times

hahaha. anyone get the washed out high times tape?
just bought it last night. ernest greene's marketing game is on point, i haven't bought music in years. but the fact that its a tape makes me want to get all nostalgic.
i remember recording shit off the radio on those things- every song i had was tagged with "Hot 103 presents..." or some bullshit

it's a CASSETTE, du. and i guess i have to wait till it comes, boo
i'll probs upload the tracks to mediafire 4 u cats once i get it.
not sure why cassettes are the norm for this genre. they all seem to be releasin their shit on them exclusively
might have to break out the ol' fisher price ghetto blaster soon

^thanks
I wanted to make a record that was very dynamic, tracks that seemed like they had a sort of architecture to them. I also wanted it to not work as a specific type of album: it could be a “dance around your room” thing or a “fall-asleep with headphones” thing, but not completely either.I think he has achieved both of these things with Seek Magic. The songs all follow mostly the same structure (without being repetitive), and they all contain very mellow and dreamy parts as well as high-energy points that I guess you could dance to.

recently read this article that goes in-depth on the use of visual imagery in this genre's 'advertising'
I feel like it is correct in assuming that fans of the genre demand the
look in addition to the sound. Washed Out has this strategy on lock, as the article says.
to be perfectly honest, i associate all of these images to what i hear when i hear Washed Out, and it makes the experience better

an excellent article focusing on music and advertising in the 00's
The Quietus: A Look Back At The 00s: 'Glo-fi' And The Sadness Of The Advertised Man
"[Major labels] still believe the discovery of music is something that can be controlled or imposed upon a listener. Those days haven’t gone yet, but they are disappearing – there’s too much out there waiting to be found"

I just cant find a pair of all white blazers made from normal leather - all white.
for the af1s, you can get the low and the mids - we want the high top ones.
i didnt even know there were higher ones than the mids
post pic of af1 highs and mids for comparison
