  1. You know most of the material released under the 'Memory Cassette' moniker was recorded 10 years ago?

Wow I didn't know that. I knew that he has been around for a while under various names like Weird Tapes, Memory Cassette etc but I didn't know he was doin it for that long.

I've been lookin for some sort of timeline on the guy (something akin to a wikipedia history page) but with no luck.

    Just his blog: WE'RE TAPES

  2. Macwich: How come you sized down 4 sizes on the PS? I think I had size 29 in my NC's and they fitted snug like hell. You mean that you managed to fit into a pair of jeans that's 4 sizes smaller than you.

Well, like I said in my post, I only sized down 2 on the NC's. But when I tried on the same size in PS, they were loose. Then I tried on a 31 and saw that I could button them up pretty easily.

I was pretty happy with the way the NC's faded, and when I first got them I could hardly button the first 2 buttons! So I knew I wanted a similar experience with the PS's. Thats why I got a 30

And they're still not as tight as my New Cures... but I thought it would be crazy to buy a 29 lol

  3. thanks for that Macwich, +rep.

Although I still can't really tell the difference between the two :)

So would you say the PS has a looser top block, and skinnier from the knee down?

And the NC is skinnier top block and looser from knee down ( less taper)?

    Btw. nice fades.

thats precisely what im sayin. although keep in mind the size difference like this guy mentioned:

They are 2 sizes apart so it seems like he can't really make an accurate comparison

i did however try on the 32 and 31 PS's in the Margriet Nannings in Amsterdam, and the same holds true; looser (in this case, TOO loose) top block and more tapered calves

imho the perfect cut would be the PS but with the same rise as NC. its ridin pretty low down there but w.e

  5. Which doesn't exist on any Dior denim. The 19cm is based on the original Cure (which doesn't have a flare), not the New Cure.

    whoops you're right my bad

  6. This thread will be about many types of music. I'm sure with time there will be proper genre names, but for now we can only use what we have.

Pitchfork: Not much to say here... if you don't know this site you don't have an internet connection.

    and of course

HIPSTER RUNOFF: I only mention this because the guy literally named the genre Chillwave. Horrible name I know, but it has stuck.

  7. just a note for anybody switching from new cures to petite standards.

my (old) new cures are a size 32 and when i first got them i could only do up the first 2 buttons

my new petite standards however are a size 30 and i could button them all the way up right away. and i know that they werent tried on before because the lady in the store had to take them out of the shrinkwrap

so the point is, PS in cut way fuller (in the top block at least) than NC

in the lower leg though, PS is a lot more tapered and doesn't have the classic "dior" flare
