  1. i dont want to tell anybody right now cause im not 100% sure, but i think i got into western. its killing me seeing my family and friends and trying to contain myself, so i thought id post it here

edit: oh yeah it was for the popular music studies and english programs. i don't play an instrument or sing, so the music one was big for me

  2. revisiting FlyLo x Thundercat's set on the 420 Brainfeeder show - thundercat's playing really sits tightly in the groove, setting out chords, coming up for air with melodies, dropping back into the mix...

available here if anyone is after it

well of course im after it now, after reading that sweet description

  3. have you watched the Twin Peaks TV series?

no i was thinking of watching next. should i watch fire walk with me b4 or after

tempted to neg. but since it's a matter of taste, try lost highway. i've heard some say it's closest to inland empire... not sure myself but i really like the movie.

heh yeah i was just really disappointed with the ending i guess. i was expecting jeffrey to be imagining the whole last part, and we find out that he was lobotomized just like the yellow guy

i didnt say the film was bad, i just said it was my least fav out of 4 that ive seen (which are pretty big competitors)

i suppose the main difference is the straight-forward narrative structure, and the lack of anything genuinely scary to me. i tend to find lynch's surreal worlds scarier than his realistic world portrayed here

  4. 4th lynch

    blue_velvet.jpg

least favorite one yet. has the most brutal rape scene (far worse than the infamous clockwork orange one). also has the least surreal elements, something that i've come to look for in his films

from the ones ive seen so far ill rank them for interest sake:

    1.eraserhead

    2.inland empire

    3.mulholland drive

    4.blue velvet

based on this, any lynch fans want to suggest what to see next?

  5. not sure if i should put this here. i was listening to chinoiseries the other day and decided to put a certain well known jay-z track over top of a certain well known onra track from the album

  6. i have a test tomorrow in this class called "language and formal reasoning" which sounds cool but it's just doing proofs and saying if things are valid or invalid. i have no idea what's going on in this class and there is no book because my teacher came up with everything himself

gen ed requirements kill my gpa.

i guess i have no logical reasoning skills

i took a class similar to this last year, called critical thinking. i had no idea what i was doing the whole semester, yet ended up with an A. just had to adjust my thinking to what the prof appeared to be thinking
