  1. best place in nyc to hem a pair of diors? these are pretty thin compared to the black clawmarks i have and the stacking is excessive. I have a 19 cm MII size 27 i want to hem and a 17.5 cm MII size 28 i want to hem as well. i'm about 5'8 and i think the stacking on my apc new cures size 26 is perfect. what inseam should i hem them to?

  2. hey pieiskewl, the pig is really cool, i never knew people had pigs as pets. my shiba's about a year old. i might get a second shiba soon because he's getting a bit lonely. plus, the invisible fence doesn't work so he has to either be in the house at all times or attached outside which i hate.

  3. i would hem, the knee honeycombs + the stacking makes it a bit excessive. I have the same sort of stacking on my 17.5 mists and want to hem but am afraid it'll ruin the jeans (that it won't have the same fit). is it ok to do it or not?

  4. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and my mom is a sixth generation New Yorker.

Do both cities a favor and stay the fuck out unless you're from there.

I realize I'm being cheap in claiming both cities, but I'm so damn sick of poseurs.

i'm not claiming anything, i clearly said in the first post that i'm thinking about moving to california but have also always wanted to live in new york city. how does that make me a poseur?

edit: oh ok i see what you mean. i guess it can get pretty annoying for foreigners to come in and out all the time but isn't that why new york is so special (because its so diverse)? anyone who lives in new york is a descendant of a foreigner anyways.

  5. I took beginner classes at ICP, I personally thought it was very good, having had no experience in photography at all. Everything is underground, the best part is the darkrooms. I don't know about SVA or FIT. It's pretty expensive, about 800 bucks for a 3 hour weekly class for 10 weeks. There are some other courses over week ends and some others but i'm not really familiar with those. They give lots of tips, i love the photographs they change every month or two in the entrance (not the one above ground). Underground is not as modern as it looks like from outside but is pretty modern, with iMacs to surf of the web or do whatever shit you want to do.

    Good luck

    -Ben
