so awesome. are the trilogy rings meant to be worn together to make a larger piece? they seem like they should!

Yea the stuff discussed in this thread is so SZ-ballin. It's awesome but I guess it's not in everyone's price range hence the lurking.
It would be nice to discuss local brands etc but I don't really like how they all ape each other and the SZ-ish brands like CON, CM, countless other black drapey shit. So much mediocrity gets too much credit here. Female stuff is more interesting but it's a sausage fest in these forums
Absolute favourite local brand is Ess Hoshika/Laboratory but they don't have much guys' stuff... I reckon some of the female pieces could work unisex though. But if I had a vagina I'd buy the whole store.

the oversaturation of cm bombers gave me about a week of hating all things fashion last winter.

lotek go to M&E clothing alterations, corner of exhibition and lt. collins. costs about $80 to get the shoulders taken in, waist would depend on how many seams they need to take it in from.
thanks man, exactly what i needed to know.
assin sale at 300 was bad enough, but managed to get some shorts for 50 bucks. there was a small and medium for a drkshdw denim jacket when i went for 300, think it's the kanye-approved one. the brands at cose are so inconsistent it pains me to go. it says on viridianne's site that cose stocks them, but i don't think i've seen any in any of the stores.
albino model looks a little like a blobfish.

anyone know of any decent tailors in the city? i recently obtained an issey miyake suit jacket for free but it's an M whereas I'd probably fit an S; need the shoulders taken in and probably the waist too.
anyone have any experience and price quotes? thanks

I like how it's the "australian thread" rather than the "melbourne thread". This thread really does have a life of its own.
Anyway, does anyone know if any store in Melb stocks Individual Sentiments? I know btbam's does but I'd really like to try and feel the clothes personally. Also... asked a random guy this weekend where he got his boots and he mumbled something about getting them in the city and they're made in Germany... any ideas what they are?

kind of defeats the purpose of a watermark if it can be easily photoshopped out but yes, it is kinda distracting.
anyway, nothing especially new for VA, but that's not a bad thing. shit's great.

depends on the "story" of your label/collection. odyn vovk is heavily inspired by the BM culture and his skinny, long haired models reflect that. i've always thought of julius to be "vampirey" and his models show that as well. ditto with obscur. i've never liked the rick model in your 2nd pic, makes all the clothes look ill-fitting. imo, rick makes his own clothes look best, probably cos he designed them for himself.
also depends on whether the shots will be minimalist like just modeling against a wall or heavily stylized with a strong theme.
oh, and try to get a stylist, or at least a semi-professional 3rd party opinion when putting together pieces. as the designer you'd probably have biased and skewed impressions to each item and unless you have a very specific idea of how you want to match them, it's often better to have someone else look at the larger picture without the influence of nitpicky details.

converse factory outlet on smith street in fitzroy has them.

so, blankets aside, anyone made it to assin? meant to go today but couldn't be bothered. i'll be in the area tomorrow but doubt there'll be stuff worth getting. even their non-closing down ones aren't that great

Augusta derbies have gone ridicuro cheap at EM before, but at the time I just didn't have the dough to get them, mad regretting now. They WERE about 1 size too big but at those prices I'd just have stuffed paper in.
Meanwhile, these Guidi lows are sex.

So fresh, so clean.

Always loved Mihara Yashuhiro's colour palette (as limited as it is) and other than the aforementioned "distressed" nonsense, this is just great. Especially when put into context of The Little Prince, which makes sense on closer inspection.

Jackets are awesome (except THAT one), accessories are awesome, and that shawl collar cardi is really doing it for me.
I would normally never consider having the white on (off)white colour combo but damn this is good.

Awesome, red is a recurring motif in normally monochromatic collections but at least this time it's not just the usual blood red, it's actually pretty damn bright.

Yeah, DD looks great, loving the relaxed silhouette and red seems to always be the next logical step for a designer who's usually monochromatic (eg Julius, but their new yellow is horrendous).
BBS on the other hand is pretty lackluster I think... a couple nice individual pieces that are pretty safe and tribute-y but none of the drama of his debut... and those fucking lampshade hats.

agreed, especially that last pic, with the lineup. can't stop staring at it!

I've decided to revive an old thread of mine.
Ok, so I own a little t-shirt company and while looking for blanks, made a friend who owns a little factory making random stuff. I've customized and ordered a whole bunch here in Melbourne, Australia and have started printing, but was wondering if people would actually be interested in the blanks themselves as they're pretty sweet.
Basically, they're fully custom-made cos I'm picky with the cut of my shirts. Compared to, say a generic shirt from Fruit of the Loom/Gildan/Hanes, they're:
Slimmer fit, longer body, shorter sleeves, softer but not pima cotton soft because not everyone likes that.
They're available in black and white only, and have NO irritating neck tags at all, only a tiny size tag at the side seam. The cool thing is, I've made it so average sized people can wear different sizes depending on the kinda fit they want, based on an average sized person (I'm 5'9"/176 cm and 140lb/64kg). Because of the longer body, sizing down won't look too short and the shorter sleeves means sizing up won't get you flying nun sleeves.
Note that I have man boobs and puffy nipples despite being relatively slim so it won't look the BEST on me of you stare at my tits.
Measurements:
Small
Length (back of neck to hem): 27 1/2"
Pits: 16 3/4"
Shoulders: 16"
Sleeves (shoulder to hem): 7 1/8"
note: in the back shot the shirt length looks shorter cos it's riding up my body. also, this size seems to make my skinny ass body look buff.
Medium
Length: 28 1/4"
Pits: 18 3/4"
Shoulders: 17"
Sleeves: 7 1/4"
note: when I wear a medium i usually cuff the sleeves a bit cos I'm a fag
Large
Length: 29 1/2"
Pits: 19 1/4"
Shoulders: 17 3/4"
Sleeves: 8 1/4"
note: I don't usually wear large, obviously, more of a small/medium guy but just to show that it still fits pretty well, especially if I cuff the sleeves to prevent flying nuns.
Price: 11 USD. Cheaper if you order more. Shipping depends on how many orders as well. PM me, we'll work out something, maybe free shipping or just overall reduced cost. Aus/NZ buyers, PM me for rates.
PS: I also have girl blanks available, so for all 4 of you female sufu'ers, if you're interested just ask.

yeah henson and con are priced around there, and you don't want to be perceived as being lower in quality to them due to the lower price point by people who don't know better.
