  1. Just with the image I posted above what is everyones thoughts on the darkness? Elsewhere someone said that I should add a +2 bracketed exposure from the raw. I'm not sure if it's just me but if I ever do some PP like that I completely go off the image as I know deep down the original didn't resemble the final at all and it just seems overly fake?

  2. I've been looking at getting some shims and perhaps a KonKave bearing for my YYJ X-Convict but I noticed a thread somewhere to keep them stock which got me wondering if I should or not? What kind of improvements would it make or is it a better option to buy a new yo?

I'd appreciate if anyone could help this yoyonewb

  3. Thanks

I've been pm'd about this a few times so just incase others are wondering I use the Cokin ND grads Z Pro system with a Canon 10-22

Not sure if I would buy Cokin again though so if you can read up about Lee and Singh-Ray as I hear theirs are just as good if not better so definately worth consideration. At the moment I'm wanting a reverse nd filter which is amazing but not cheap argh

  4. shit so much love for the last shot I posted thanks so much as it was a shot I was really proud of not only because of the shot itself but just the process to get it. Running down the beach and nearly dying because i'm so unfit, hiking over some hill in the dark as I was joined by many wallabies hiding in the bushes making a raquet knowing I hate the dark and parking my car in some carpark which is renowned for getting smashed into by fools so that has always put me off but all the +rep is greatly appreciated and meant alot.

    Just one from this morning

  5. So I'm waiting for delivery on my Canon XSi w/ EF 18-55mm kit lens. For the more seasoned photography ppl, what other lens do you think should be part of a staple for everyday shooting? (noob question) :)

For me Canon 10-22 or the Sigma and Tokina alternatives but another favourite is the Canon 50 1.8 (around 90~aud) it's a must have even if you only use it a couple of times here and there. But if you can splurge then a Canon 16-35, 24-70, 70-200 lineup would do you just fine ;)
