the worst thing about this whole discussion IMHO is the fact that people are debating authenticity surrounding a brand that collaborated with nike and uniqlo

before anyone fires back, let me say that i don't really care what status SB dunks have in sneaker culture or how uniqlo looks pretty cool for the price; mass manufactured shit is still shit for so many reasons. among the worst of them is that it depends on a degraded labor force and the product is bland. i couldn't believe that tripe from takahashi in defense of the uniqlo collab. "spoon full of spice"? more like a fist full of cash to line your pockets. i'm not against acquiring wealth, but i don't pretend i'm doing the world a favor.

Picked up Plenty: Yotam Ottolenghi the other day. Great looking stuff, I can't wait to try a few of the recipes. I've been on the lookout for "best" or "essential" cookbooks as well, any recs? I'm also looking around for books specializing in ethnic/geographic areas, or highly unusual/unique cookbooks.

Picked these up on SF but the top block just isn't fitting the way I thought it would. I had these tapered to a 8.5" leg opening to match the cut of my other favorite pants (Acne Max Cash, Wings + Horns chino). They show a little bit of wear from the previous owner, I'd say they are in 9/10 condition in terms of wear. Apologies for the poor pictures, I am away from my apartment on business most of the time and lighting is often poor. The second picture most accurately represents the garment's color and condition. I used flash in the third pic, so they look more worn than in natural light conditions. The last pic is from Blue in Green, showing how the fades on the deep indigo jeans will look after some wear.
