  1. lot 10s isnt a model number, whats up with everyone just saying "my lot 10s" lately..

I understand this, but there was discussion on the lot 10 denim, I was just showing examples of shrinkage. These area s5000vx

  2. This is a cross post from where I'm trying to sell my Lot 10's in supermarket:

    Picture1-1.png

It shows the shrinkage in the legs width and length. According to the measurements, they have shrunk to tag size, BUT, I was advise that they would shrink to the same jeans two sizes below tagged size. I am going to try and measure the same jeans in the shop and see what measurements they were before soak and wash, this should give a better indication of shrinkage.

  3. ^ that was crap advice. sure, they shrink a few sizes, but he failed to mention how much they stretched after.

you should have sized down 1...maybe even 2, although 1 is safer.

I would see what they can do for you...tell them that you got bad advice, and that they're too big. you might get a new pair, or at least a discount off your next pair.

Thanks for that! Exactly what I thought, but I thought he would know what he was talking about. The advice he gave came from Samurai themselves, he had a chart there to say what size they would be post shink. Not too keen on explaining this in English to the Japanese dudes, but I will see what I can do.

  4. I got my lot 10, S5000VX's on supermarket here because they are too big:

    http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=47700

I went into Americaya in Shibuya and asked the dudes advice. He said size up and they will shrink down two sizes. I did this, give them a hot soak (about 1.5 - 2 hours) then a drip dry, a cold wash and they dried in the dryer and then another cold wash (I thought it was hot, but I'm pretty sure it was cold, I can't work these freaking washing machines in Japan!) and another session in the dryer, but hardly got any shrinkage. I really can't see them shrinking any more, they are feeling nice and like they will stretch a little more actually. I could wear them but it's not the fit I am after.

So do you guys think they have got more shrink in them or I am better off selling and getting my usual size which is what I think will be best?

They wont take them back will they, even after the dodgy advice?

I still have all tags and shit that was attatched to the jeans as well as the bag from the shop.

Purchased from Americaya in Shbiuya on the 28th of Feb for 24990 yen. Less than a week of light wear. No signs of fade at all, only some slight signs of creases that could be easy to re set.

Here's the story. Went into Americaya in Shibuya on Thursday, got the guy to help me. He told me these would shrink to how the 34 fit post shrink. After a hot soak, drip dry, a wash and a dry in the dryer twice, they shrunk a little, but nowhere near a 34 and I don't think there is much more shinking left. A lot more confortable after this though. Would love to keep these as a relaxed fit pair of jeans, I am usually a 34 and they still fit nice, but I have another pair of jeans a similar fit to these, so really wanted a tighter fit. Really disapointed that the dude gave me the wrong advice.

The jeans are really comfortable and so dark! A real nice denim with a silver strand through the selvedge which is a classy touch. I love these and as soon as they are sold I will be straight back to the shop for the 34's.

Because they are new, I can take them into the shop and get them hemmed to any length you like before shipping. If you need any more photos or details just ask.

    Asking $230 shipped from Tokyo.

Nah it's called a bush hanky in Australia and your not Australian if you can't do it.

  7. Well, japanese people are very sensitive about appearance etc.. so i think it s obvious that the average gainjin his t-shirt bought in Narita written Nippon ichi or luv japan... Not only japanese people have precomposed images but maybe it s exacerbated because Japan is an island. Japanese people have never seen Black people before WWII and don't have the racism concept of western people...In smaller cities gainjins are more scarced and because the local pop tend to leave their place they are happy that foreignrs show some attention about their folks.

I'm calling you on this one, that is all bullshit!

  8. jax,

you should just get a japanese friend set up a phone and contract for you under their name. there are mad campaigns that you can get free phones (or like 1-99yen or some pointless amount). they can always end the contract after you leave. you could check the balance right before you go home and just pay them alittle extra for the last duration. this way you'll have a phone and a dormant contract. next time you go up, just contact them and tell them to reactivate for you. this is the best way. don't do the rental.

If you do this you have to pay the contract out, so it's going to cost a lot for a short period of time. And I wouldn't take on Tokyo without a keitai, it's so easy to get lost and so handy for train travel just alone with the whole train finder website you can get on them. I would definately rent, you can pick shit up from the airport after you get out of customs.

Tokyo is incredible, nothing shit about it. I hear you when your saying these ugly fucks are getting all the girls and I hate that, but the way the go about it is wrong! They just fully sleaze onto the girls, so disrespectful, but if you want one of those girls that's the way to go about it. Also, ditch the gaijin mates and get some Japanese friends. They will want to hook you up.

  9. This might have been discussed somewhere already, but I was wondering if anyone is going to see Daft Punk next month? http://www.creativeman.co.jp/2007/daftpunk/index.html

I heard their tour this year has been insane.

Anyway, I slept on buying tickets for the 8th but am still gonna try and grab some for the 9th.

I'm there! Already got tickets for the 8th. Can't wait! Are there any after parties that you have heard of?

    jmatsu, why the hate?
