Well, I've owned my KMWs since May of '08 I believe, and though I couldnt wear them on weekdays for most of that time, and theyve had competition from a pair of skulls and pbjs, they have been my go to jeans for the most part. Recently, they have gotten less wear simply because they seem to rip every other time I wear them (as I'm sure you can gather from the pictures). Enjoy.

Sorry for the picture overload. Color is fairly accurate throughout the pictures, though a lot of the fading is actually more contrasted in real life. Especially the shot around the front pocket fading. Theyre in the wash right now because they smell weird like some sort of metal, and ass.

anyone here happen to have been sporting some xx-011s at somerset mall in michigan today? Thought I was the only one with a pair in the area...

I know this probably isnt the correct place for this, but I looked for a general boots thread, and didnt come up with much. But can anyone id the boots worn by this guy from context?

anyone have tips for minimizing the pbj hip flare aside from the power stance. My XX-011s are still pretty stiff, will the flare hopefully work itself out? And lastly, assuming I care enough to take them to the tailor, is that even something that they can fix?

from the rough translation, I think they said the leaf is green, and the patch is clearly different. Other than that, looks pretty identical.

shit, those fit great. They look abnormally tapered for the 05 fit (something I wish my 07s had, so I never would have tapered them and the tailor would have never fucked them up). The chunky cuffs look badass too.

the xx-011 is the same fit as the xx-013 in the second batch, according to gordon. The only difference is, they are a tad smaller all around, because the denim shrinks during the starch press more than the xx-013.

Ha, I'm not freaking out by any means, my fit was just a bit tight for how I'd have wanted it to fit after the soak. I know PBJs stretch back out to about their presoak fit, no? Either way, I'd prefer my nuts to be alive, and my legs to get their proper circulation. If the 31s end up being a bit loose after stretching out fully, I guess I'll just give them pretty regular hot soaks.

well if your waist is a 32 where you would wear them, what made you decide then to size down 3???

Multiple reasons. I've heard of comparisons of sizing between jeans, and was under the impression the consensus was XX-07/XX-05 fit similar in the thighs and and looser in the waist than Skull 5010xx. I can fit into a 29 in those, and also wear a 29 in KMW rockers, as I mentioned, as well as basically every other raw jean I've worn. With that in mind, I thought a 29 would work out all right. Obviously I was wrong, as the XX-011s run smaller generally than the XX-07 or XX-05. People will say the top block of the XX-011 is the same as the XX-05, but having both models in the same size in my room right now, I can tell you this isnt really true. I asked Gordon about it, and he said the starch press process on the XX-011 is making them shrink more so than other denims. Furthermore, he said the variance in measurements of the XX-011s is a bit greater than other PBJ models.

Anyways, I was basing the sizing off the overall fit of the jeans, not just the waist, if I were to base it solely off the waist measurements, my fits would be loose even very tapered jeans. Its the curse of being tall I guess, the waist is just always a bit tight.

Well, sizing is always tricky for me. I'm pretty tall (6'3") and so with med/low rise jeans, they sit right at the top of my ass, and not so much around my waist. I'm a 30 in the waist, but a 32 where my jeans sit. When looking at those numbers, it'd seem clear that a 29 would be too small, but I can fit into the 30 xx-07s, 29 in KMW rockers, but apparently need a 31 on the xx-011s. To be honest, the presoak 30s of the xx-011 fits similar to my stretch out 29 skull 5010xxs. God sizing is a hassle sometimes.

Got my xx-011s yesterday, I had bought some 29s from the last run which were too small, and even these 30s are nearly skin tight pre-soak. I swear these are getting small, because I've been a pretty constant weight this whole time. I also was under the impression the second batch was going to match the xx-013 cut, so the thighs would be a tad bigger anyways. Oh well, back they go in exchange for some 31s.

general consensus is you gotta be pretty skinny to size down, usually its a good idea to just stick tts. And yes, theyre certainly nut crushers.

I dont own apcs, but I've spilled many a liquor on my jeans, so I wouldn't worry about it. St. Pattys day a faulty keg sprayed green beer all over them....haven't washed them yet. Though i do feel bad for the tailor who is repairing them currently.

my local head shop has a 40% all roor and sheldon black glassware. There was this sheldon black with 5 down stems that weren't removable, for $400, so $240 after the discount. It seemed super fragile and probably hard to clean, but such a classy piece. Anyone have experience with this bong or any advice as to which ones to check out?

Anyone having some ripping issues at around a year or so of solid wear? Maybe its because I've been drunk so much lately, but my rockers are just falling apart. Huge gash in the ass, a few minor holes in the front crotch, and a new massive rip as of today in the back crotch area. KMW should definitely look into some stronger or thicker denim.

I'll post some pictures once I'm sober and can find a real camera.

dude, I have like 1/8 the posts you do, and I still know all the answers to those questions. They've all been asked quite a few times...

The raw 007's will shrink similarly to the one wash after the first real wash, maybe even the first hot soak depending on the water temperature and length of the soak, but I think the general consensus is pbjs shrink a little bit more with each wash.

The latter question is solely personal preference. Most around here enjoy the process of soaking the jeans themselves, and minimizing the indigo loss associated with a one wash. If you've ever seen a picture comparing a raw versus a one wash, there is a bit of color and certainly texture difference.

I apologize for getting angry, I realize i'm a "newb" and dont really have the right to, but jeez, the PBJ thread isnt that long, look around a bit please.

I had emailed gordon a while back asking when the xx-011 restock would be. At the time he had said not till February. Considering they must have gotten a shippment of xx-05s, but the xx-011s didnt restock, I'm guessing its not going to happen till march or april.

I like the all white selvage, it's understated. But having so wide a traintrack ruins that, imo.

seconded. The twine beltloops look nice, and the hardware still looks cool, but I like my red mule, and the new labeling on the inside of the waist sucks. And maybe its just the picture, but the patch stitching looks all fucked up?

They are indeed a bit tight. If those 10 lbs youre talking about actually come off they might be alright. And KMWs do stretch out a bit, at least mine have, but they're going on two years (I'll post pictures when I get access to a real camera). As for the stacking, I'd leave it, it will settle well, and if you were to hem them, you wouldn't be able to do the sort of slouchy cuff.

panda & mlyngard or anyone with the 011/013 cut, does it fix the awkward hip flare that plagues the 05 and 07? I have some pretty new 07s, but the tailor butchered the taper, so that combined with the awkward top block is making me think they'll get no real wear.

i think the 007 is actually cut a little roomier than the 005, atleast thats what the measurements from big suggest

BiGs measurements are not all that accurate sometimes. I think in theory at least, the XX-05 and XX-07 are supposed to be the same cut.

Quick question, i got a pair of one wash sz 29 005s back in August of 09. I know they stretch a lot in the waist, but would does it also apply to the thigh? I think the thigh part is what is not allowing me to pull up my jeans fully, giving me the sag look.

The waist stretches out a lot, and the thighs will stretch some as well. After all its the same denim throughout the entire jean. Then again if you can only pull them up to the point of sagging because theyre so tight, they might be too tight.

I'm looking into getting a nice bong in the near future. What would be your guys' thoughts on ph(x), sheldon black, and illadelph?
