  1. I've had my APC PS since last St. Patty's Day. I gave them a cold soak with some Dr. Bronners in early October, and a warm handwash with some more Dr. Bronners just after Christmas. For the past 4 months or so these have been my go-to everyday jeans. That beings said, I can't say as though they're super fast faders like everyone seems to think. Excuse the iPhone photography:

  2. I've soaked mine, they do shrink a bit, but they are sanforized. I'd say its comparable to skull's shrinkage. If you pull on the waist or inseam while theyre damp you can keep em just about the same as presoak though if you're just trying to tighten up the thighs or something.

  3. yeah, I gotta say regardless of whether BO's measurements are exactly correct, that fact that you can email Jay and have them pick out the pair thats closest matches your size (say you're on the small side of a 30, etc. etc. since even not all "size 30s" are the exact same) is next level customer service.

  4. I've found that the rise isn't too bad on my WG, but they just seem tight in the crotch/hip area. Its like dude, gimme some room for my junk.

On a side note, someone buy my WG Japan Heritages in my sig (sized em wrong)

  5. yeah, I have a pair of Japan Heritages, but I haven't put more than a weeks worth of wear on them yet. I bought them as my "winter jean", since I liked how they looked with boots, but not so much with sneakers (been wearing my apcs for that). But when they start to progress I'll update you guys.

  6. its an issue of measuring your waist is a kind of inaccurate way of deciding jean size (as counter intuitive as that is). If you you measure where your jeans actually sit, versus your "waist" you're gonna get very different results. This applies especially so with apcs, because I think they go based off the "waist" moreso than where most dudes wear their jeans. I, for example, have about a 29 inch waist (slimmest part of my torso), but am more like 33 inches where my jeans sit. I went with a size 30, and theyve stretched out to a pretty damn perfect fit. In that sense, I would say the proper technique is to measure where your jeans sit, and size down 1-3 depending on your body type and desired fit, since APCs are vanity sized 1-2 inches (depending on the cut), and they also stretch out 1-2 inches. Now can we never bring up sizing ever ever ever again in this thread?

  7. I dont know if I necessarily agree. Washing your jeans strengthens them by getting rid of the sweat and bacteria that speeds up the breaking down process of the cotton. My apcs look pretty similar to yours and I just gave them a cold handwash with some dr. bronners. Definitely changed up the texture for the first week, but color wise it didn't do much, except lighten up the faded areas a bit. No harm done in my eyes, and now my jeans smell nice and minty.

  8. Mine, pretty much still unworn at this point. Working on APCs until winter.

^yeah, OnixNFs are pretty steep price wise, but they definitely look like a nice jean. Oni's attention to detail is a bit more precise than N&Fs, at least when it comes to construction.

I got a sized 1 down pair of Japan Heritage weird guys (30) than my original attempt, a size 31. Theyre stil stiff and snug right now but I think they'll stretch out to be pretty perfect

and to take my old pair off my hands, check my signature, please

  9. Well I know what I am going to spend my birthday money on.

Tweed Fill Selvedge - 13oz Indigo Selvedge denim with a tweed nep weft yarn. The grey melange fill yarns are quite soft and rich and give the denim a unique and luxurious appearance. These look really neat when rolled up on a nice tough boot. (Available in WeirdGuy + SlimGuy.)

those look quite nice and interesting. if only they made em in skinny guy...
